This is a wonderfully detailed simulator, and my first game in the Microsoft Flight Simulator Series.

The world detail can be spotty at times, but given the task of rendering the entire world, i'd say they did a great job.

Aircraft cockpits are as detailed as they need to be, only omitting systems and controls that wouldn't have a real effect on the performance of the aircraft.

The only complaint I have about this game is the horrendous mouse controls and lack of mouse yoke. From other flying games, I would expect when I let go of a control key that the yoke would reset to a neutral position. That is not at all what happens. The yoke stays where it is, and it is up to you to find the neutral position of the yoke. Easy enough with a flight control stick, but extremely difficult with keyboard controls. It can be very difficult to recover out of a stall, dive, roll, or any other dangerous situation with the keyboard controls.

Overall, this is a wonderful game, highly recommend that you have at least a joystick to fully enjoy it.
