As of writing this review I've played Va11-Hall-a for 18 hours for my first playthrough, I'm eager to start my second.
I won't get too into detail as to what you should expect from this game, other reviews do a much better job of it.
However, I will say that I enjoyed Va11-Hall-a much more than any other game I've played this year, it wasn't the gameplay or the waifus (although the Waifus did help).
It wasn't the killer music or weeb pandering (though I am guilty of enjoying that).
They really nailed the writing for this game, I felt so close to the characters in the bar and it felt great to remember particiular peoples usuals or favorites when you see the impact it has on them and their moods.
Sukeban games totally nailed the atmosphere for the entire setting and I would really like to see them expand more on it.
Upon starting Va11-Hall-a you're given a message that reads "This game is best played getting comfortable, grab some drinks, some snacks, and enjoy!"
Pretty big understatement as the game is maximum comfy.
Edit: 23 November, 2016.
I voted Va-11 Hall-a as during the Steam Autumn awards as the "we didn't think of everything award" a.k.a The “Most Comfy game” Award
Edit: 24 November, 2017.
Once again voting for Va-11 Hall-a for the Steam awards, this time as a game that "Defies Description" seriously guys, go play this game!
