Let me start by saying that I played the first game around 2 months ago and silksong came out while I was still playing the first game so I don't have any bias because I did not wait a single day for this game unlike most people who had to wait years.

That being said this game is the GOTY for me. its so much better than the first game in every way and there is so much to do I can't even believe all of it is in one game.
you have so many more fighting options and options to customize your character to match your playstyle.
there are so many fantastic bosses and this is just the base game! in my opinion the best bosses in the first game were the bosses added in updates later.
there is way more areas in the game and the areas are better and bigger too. one area in the game is so big it is split into multiple areas itself.
the tools and skills system they have here gives you way more options to play with than the limited options you had in the first game.
You have to play it for yourself there is so much about I can't fit in a review.
It is genuinely one of the greatest gaming experiences I have ever had.

But why are there negative reviews you ask ? I don't even know but lets try to understand.

Game has like 50 bosses and only 1 maybe 2 (both are optional mind you) are not great fights. that goes for runbacks as well.
Game has more than 30 areas one of them (again this too is an optional area) is annoying to go through.

I saw some people say the shard system was bad or that the game was too grindy. hey look, I get it, you don't like to play the game you're playing. and I agree with you, stuff are a bit too expensive. but come on farming shards is not even that hard every shop sells them and they're the only cheap thing in the game. you just have to play the video game and it balances the broken red tools that would otherwise just carry every fight. like if I have enough shards, I can just equip the certain crest you know about and just spam tools and skip every fight.

I saw someone say the quest system is bad. like... what ? what do you expect from a quest system? there are quests, you pick them up, you do them, you get reward. like what else do you want? I really don't get this one sorry.

I saw some people say the crests are not balanced. who says they have to be ? like yes balanced around the enemies sure but who cares if one crest is stronger than another one as long as they're all viable? its a single player video game were not playing Overwatch here if theres a crest that is op as ♥♥♥♥ let it be. like I did a lot of the fights with the beast crest because it was fun. yes it was worse than every other crest but again I didn't care because it was fun. isn't that the point?

And to game is too hard people, honestly game is not even that hard! not saying that to say "oh i'm so good the game was easy" I could not complete the pantheons from the first game I think I got the first two and got stuck on the third one. I'm not the best at video games in general and I did not use any of the red tools for most of the fights and as I said I tried to use arguably the worst crest in the game for a lot of the fights but genuinely I don't think there was a hard wall for me in the game except the two optional bosses I mentioned which I killed with tools.

And that's my point! first of all you don't have to take every fight but even if you do and for some reason a boss or a fight is too hard, there is just so many tools at your hand to make them easier that there is no reason to sit there and get mad at the game. but people do not want to use the tools the game gives them for some reason. its the summons in Elden Ring all over again.

All this to say I do not know why people are leaving not recommended for these reasons it never makes sense to me in any game if I had to guess I'd say these are people who waited a long time for the game and it just didn't click for them so they're looking for reasons to say the game is bad.

But if you liked the first game you'll love this one. even if you didn't really like the first game you might enjoy this one its a great game I think everyone that enjoys the genre should play.

Words cannot describe how good this experience was. The only reason I'm moving on is to play Silksong but I have a feeling I will be back.

I mean its bad that we didn't get the full pve game I was looking forward to that game BUT its not a bad game by any means the pvp is way better than Overwatch 1 and the pve even though its a little bit expensive is fun and has great story to it
Am I mad that they did what they did ? Yes but if we are to review the game for what it is and without all the expectations, its a great game its just Overwatch 1 but better and its free like how is that a bad thing come on people

I haven't finished it yet and tbh im just writing this to get the xp on the steam awards but so far the puzzles are good and better than before and im having fun so 👍

world felt better mostly because it was the first monster hunter game i played but rise is fun too specially with the addition of Sunbreak the gameplay has never been better

i actually now believe that rise+sunbreak is better than world+iceborne
the monsters are great the gameplay and different playstyles all with a great endgame mechanic I love it the only thing i miss from world is having 16 man seasons and sieges other than that great game all around

so far so good

One of the best games I've ever played hands down. this is the kind of game that everyone will enjoy and have fun with no crazy realistic graphics no big names just pure art , 10/10 for me looking forward to Hazelight's next game.

This is a decent story with great gameplay and some flaws that tbh are not even that big to mention its not perfect but you'll have a lot of fun with your friend and is 100 % worth trying 9/10 for me great experience
