The only problem with the game is that there is a giant snake, and having a huge fear of them I can't get past that section so now I can't play the game anymore due to my fear... I'll give it a good review and wait for someone to do this section for me cos I really can't do it without completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ myself

Final Fantasy is easily one of the greatest gaming franchises of all time,before this i had never played the original game and about 7 hours in i can write a review which shows my view in a detailed enough way.

The soundtrack has been remastered/remade and it sounds fantastic. The same can be said for the graphics, you would think it would just be a 16 bit remaster but no, it seems like they've remade the game from scratch and it looks amazing. The combat is really fun and addicting and this is before the atb system so seeing this is unique, my only problem is that the game is a bit too easy but considering I've never played the original version I wouldn't know about difficulty changes. Lastly the story is what it needs to be, it's not as good as 6 or 7's story and as in depth but it's better than 8 and 2's but that's besides the point, its good and especially considering its the first game in the franchise. overall i'd give this a solid 8/10!

the games is easily in my top 2 favourites. I'm quite young and even i enjoyed it. Don't let the graphics put you off because then you'll never get to experience this amazing story.

The game is fun, especially with mods, and the story is enticing enough. Even though the game is 7 years old its still fun to just mess about in with friends or by yourself.
