This game is charming, funny, challenging, fun, creative and satisfying. I played it after the big patch and had very few issues, and certainly none of the major ones people complained about at launch. It took me 14 hours to beat and 20 hours to 100%, and maybe 2% of that time involved genuine frustration. Sure, even after the major issues were fixed, this game still has a few rough spots, but they're honestly negligible. I often forgot that what I was playing was a kickstarter game produced on a much smaller budget than your average Mario or Sonic title. If you like 3D platformers at all, don't miss out on this masterpiece. And if you didn't like the game at launch, consider giving it another chance.

This is a classic adventure game, fun for everyone. The animation is great and there's so much personality packed into every aspect of Dropsy's world. It's impressive that the devs were able to make such a satisfying game without any dialogue, too! The story gets a little goofy near the end, but that's a small flaw in such a charming game.

This game is a triumph of style and design. It wears its inspiration on its sleeve, but, in my opinion, largely improves on the originator. The weapon variety and movement upgrades in this game are some of the most satisfying I've ever seen in a Metroidvania, and the atmosphere, look of the game and graphics are pitch-perfect and genuinely stick with you. The combat, especially in boss encounters, can become frenetic and quite challenging, but make no mistake, this game's strength is exploration. And the story, as basic as it is, is genuinely engaging.

Simply put, this game accomplishes everything it sets out to do, and more. Some may criticize it for feeling too close to what it's inspired by, but in my view its quality easily transcends the source, placing it as its own respectable addition to the genre. The fact that a single person made this entire game makes it all the more impressive.

If you like Metroid, Contra, exploration, and strange sci-fi settings, you will love this game. One of the best I've played in a long time.

The rumors are true, folks, this is a big step down from season 1. Instead of a series of interesting events with a clear overarching goal (protect the child), this season is a series of very arbitrary tragedies befalling an innocent girl. Unless you go in hard for misery porn, there's very little of value here.

This game devoured two weeks of my life. Approach with caution.

This edition is worth getting for the inclusion of Doom 1 and 2 alone.

The headliner that is Doom 3 is really more of a strange curiosity. Turning Doom into a horror-themed Halo wannabe remains a very baffling decision to this day, and while I wouldn't call it entirely unenjoyable, it's certainly not the high def ass-kicking entry the fans of the series wanted. I mean, it's a Doom game where the shotgun doesn't feel awesome to use, and that's just inexcusable. The best I can say about it is that at least this version of the game does away with the ill-advised "choose between guns or flashlights" gimmick, but even that is marred by the fact that the game still has a flashlight system and dumb jump scares.

Oh well, at least I can play the first two games.

This is just Slender, again. Despite its tongue in cheek approach and cute mascot character, this is a low-quality game where monsters chase you around with no animation. It only exists to have let's players scream at it. Don't bother.

This is a bad port of the DS game. It feels janky and the HD art style is stilted and incongruous, with none of the charm or fluidity of the pixel art the original had. It still plays kind of ok, but I wouldn't recommend it.
