got it about an hour after it came out and so far it's been one of the most stable and enjoyable early access games, can't wait to see it get more and more content

NEXT brought this game to life, now abyss comes out, this game is definitely a keeper now.

If you love subnautica/underwater games you'll love the abyss update

If you've played CIV 5(V) and enjoyed it to hell and back you won't enjoy this game.

Its a super dumbed down version of CIV 5 basically, ♥♥♥♥ builds instantly, everything expands 10x faster, maps are pretty small and conjested so doing big games doesn't work well, theres not much detail (cause its taking a cartoon type approach), etc. etc..

Although if you like fortnite, you'll probably like this since its a lot easier than CIV 5.

Developers are pretty dumb, I do not recommend anyone playing this game until they at least get rid of their "anti-cheat" that doesn't detect anything but has an exploit in it to gain full access to your computer, not only that but be intrusive and literally scan any files opened while the game is running. Not to mention they're pretty incompetent of running a game itself, nearly killing the entire population off cause they can't remember basic practices of production.

Developers decided to kill off pretty much the biggest improvement to their game (instead of building on it their own and making it so people didn't have to use it) which was a proxy that improved your connection to the game aka making the game honestly playable, if you play archer with more than 100ms (which everyone does) it's terrible cause you fire at super slow speeds compared to lower latency.

Honestly sad, game had a lot of potential, guess the developers are just too stupid to actually improve the game iteself.

Find a better game, this one isn't good anymore.

After putting idk how many hours into this game I've gotten to see its flaws and successes.

Major flaws:
Note: These aren't like "oh your game sucks nuts, it'll never be fixed" flaws, they're points that can be used to improve (which is unlikely most will be) the game in general. Honest feedback is what developers rely on, and if they dedicate themselves to it, they can make this game 1000 times better.

♥♥♥♥♥♥ anti cheat - eats your CPU and is probably what gives everyone ♥♥♥♥ framerate more than the game itself, doesn't even detect cheaters properly cause it's super easily bypassable

Optimization - optimization obviously wasn't a spotlight to the developers apparently which leads to terrible frames but honestly most of the frame loss again is caused by the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ anti cheat.

Super delayed updates - updates are usually never released for everyone at the same time, mostly Korea -> EU -> US which is really annoying when you want to see some of the great new content they're releasing in the different countries on your countries' game.

Somewhat inflated prices - Let's face it people LOVE customization especially when you can dress your own character, only problem is they limit how much you can put on your account, usually making you spend $20 on an item that's around 1250EMP (which would be $12.50 ideally). Setting prices like this is really annoying and seems like a money grab from the limited amount of stuff they sell with these dumbass set EMP prices.

Google ADs - Yep, this game has google ads on it here and there, I'm unsure if it's just running in a non-displayed frame for the store but it seems that gstatistics.google.com, doubleclick.net, etc... are using some of my internet while playing the game (you can see for yourself if you get glasswire and check the apps' hosts). So it's basically google mining more data on you, like usual, so nothing to panic about really.

Successes:
Great combat - Combat is really nice, they have great systems in place such as stacks and what not that make player combatability more creative depending on how far the player wants to extend their damage

Good diversity of classes - Mostly has 2 or more of the same category of class; such as tanks, dps's, healers, etc... They really put some good thought into their skills and how they're meant to be played

Giant hubs - Places such as Velika or Highwatch are public hubs for people to just hang around, and it's a really good idea cause it promotes more interactiveness to players meeting new players, I've already met a couple friends on this game due to that element.

World Diversity - the world is very colorful (if you can afford to turn on high graphics) and beautiful, there is almost a unique biome for every place you enter, and there is so much to the map that is just amazing, not to mention it's open world which is even better

Free - It's a free game, it may not have the BEST KILLER FEATURES but it's really good for a free MMO game

All around design - The design of the game is great, especially the characters, levels, enemies, etc... they're super creative and really stand out (if you can again use high graphics).

Takes time to level after 65 - Most games you can just instantly hit the level cap and be done, this game you hit 65 (current cap) and then you progress onto Ilvl, usually guardian armor is really easy to upgrade then you have to get to Frostmetal which takes more time, then finally stormcry which takes a bunch of time. They've put a good balance of systems in place to make sure you're not just rushing the game and getting bored instantly.

Trading - Trading provides a great inner-community based economy in games, and this one has it pretty well, if there wasn't trading it'd probably just be mostly EME jewing out with their obsurd store EMP price sets. But thankfully you can buy cosmetics, accessories, gems, and whatever else you can think of on the trade broker or other players in global.

There's a lot more pros but those are my highlights.

tl;dr this game is fun and addictive, it can be annoying at times with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ AC that eats CPU but honestly if you're sucked in enough you won't care about it anymore. But it really depends on what you like, it's free so give it a try, nothing bad can come from it.

I mean honestly apart from the publishers really needing dedicated servers for this game, scroll bars added to the selections and obvious controller options removed from the pc build this game really isn't that bad.

Reason people think hitboxes/hit detection is ♥♥♥♥ is cause you're trying to shoot a chinese lag wizard that's connecting from across the world pretty much, either that or the host is complete ♥♥♥♥ (hence why dedicated servers would fix this)

I run a mid-end Ryzen 5, 1050TI and honestly have no problems running the game on Extreme settings w/ a solid 60 fps, turned it down to high though so I get more to ensure no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Although probably won't get this game for the full $60 cause it's honestly not worth that much especially with what the beta is proving cause it's just a port from console to PC.

Afterwords had no crashes, performance issues, only networking with those asian invadors

This game even in early access right now is absolutely stunning.

Literally the best ambience, atmosphere, and creature sounds I've ever seen in a game, and it's all timed correctly in a very polished area (lighting and texture wise).

This game is absolutely rewarding to play and discover all types of unique and beautiful (and sometimes dangerous) biomes. The creatures are amazing as well, not only being possibly the scariest mother ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I've seen in a game but the most unique.

There's a lot more to this game than just an open world survival, it's a whole story, I won't spoil any of it but honestly it's worth beating to find out the end, I wouldn't recommend watching videos on it because of how seriously amazing this story starts and ends.
