I do not think i'll be playing once you implement having to pay $ for battlepasses that were previously paid for with a premium currency. the first half of the next season is likely gonna be my last
certain recent events have been uncraftable and only existed to make profit,
everything with the katar and shards was a crude effort to make money (despite the main purpose of the shards being to buy reskins for it, its an item that just about nobody actually has any access to because theres been no event providing the base katar since before the reskins and no event offering shards)
I could ignore those and the smorgasbord of other scuffed get rich quick schemes, like recoloring the same heirlooms multiple times to sell back to the community while much of the cast still lacks one (unless you count the katar which again you've made no attempt to sell for some reason) because at the end of the day they were effectively just cosmetic and you'd buy them for looks

but the battlepass being monetised is something I cant ignore, because it at the least gave you something to work towards, even if most of it was ♥♥♥♥♥ you'd never use it was atleast something, and most of all it actively encouraged you to play by offering you enough of the premium currency, meaning getting the next pass was a core reward of doing the previous one. with that loop gone I feel like a lot of the people who were turning up to grind out the season to access the new content of the next season are just going to tune out entirely, because now theres no reason to do it. you couldve just added more content you pay for with the premium currency to get it out the rotation and encourage sales but im pretty confident this is going to really mess up the game in the long run.
