This game will pass my Path of Exile hours......
I'm a sad individual

game was good, devs left the game to burn with no content for endgame aside from leaderboards.

Note: my hours on steam are not my total hours before the game came to steam.



In my 300-500 hours total in planetside 2, i've had my fair share of good times, bad times, and sheer amazing times as things unfolded into what almost felt like a scripted battle cutscene from a AAA title game.

Although I know I have very little knowledge of the game or how things work as a whole, i've loved every minute of gameplay regardless of how long or short my play session was. The game is a break from your usual "team up and capture this point" or "group a vs. group b" stereotype of game that you get these days. The game can be a bit demanding on hardware and requirements but the devs have tried to keep the game as low-end friendly as they can. I've seen the good and the bad, the funny and the memorable and yet I wouldn't give them up for anything. This game is simple, fun, grindy and a blast to play solo or with friends.


Sadly though the game does have it faults, as stated, you need a decent pc to be able to hold 60fps (even though the devs have done a great job of optimizing the game to their knowledge). The game can feel a bit overwhelming to new players with it's "drop you into a fight after a basic tutorial". Since a ton of the community is either vets or skilled players, new players will find it tough to be able to grasp the whole game in one sitting. I still have very limited knowledge of around 70% of the mechanics in the game given my playtime.


Overall this game is a must-try if you're looking for a breath of fresh air in the fps genre. (insert hate here)

I'd give this game a solid 8/10
