In its current state, I personally can't recommend it. And this will most likely change within a couple of updates, but as of now, I can't recommend it.

You know the deal. It's another FromSoft game, you liked DS 1, 2, 3 or Bloodborne (PC port when)? Then you'll like this game as well. Base game is really good.

DLC kinda sucks though, most bosses that I bothered to fight have a dash and play more or less the same. The DLC also has a mechanic that gives you base 50 (or 40?) in all defensive stats for free, and another that just gives you free attack... Why? What was the point of this? The DLC is in all honesty my least favorite one they've made from a gameplay perspective. It looks pretty though

I mean, ey, references from previous games are fun and all, but like... That's over half the DLC. Boss weapons are generally bad, and so are the spells. I didn't really like any of the bosses, or the boss arenas...

It looks good, and it's pretty. But that's kinda where it ended for me, I also absolutely hate the damage reduction mechanic they added. "Gonna make the DLC harder than base game" also let's us gain 50% damage reduction for free... Why?

As for the bosses. Dancing Lion of dashes, spiky hippo of dashes, objectively worse scarlet rot user of dashes, Pontif of dashes, and Rykard the second. All of those have an arena wide dash, 4 of them spam their dash, and I don't know about the rest because I couldn't be bothered fighting another boss with the same moveset and fighting style as the rest.

I personally don't recommend locking on in this DLC, and I personally don't recommend buying the DLC for the bosses... But the fashion, non-boss weapons and areas are nice.

I have now finally completed all the achievements in the game, so I feel like I get to talk about it.

Every gun is pretty much just as viable and unique, no matter what you wanna go it'll probably work. Which is good.

Honestly, my only complaints are
- Lack of build variety, a lot of the time you'll probably be going a lot of the same stuff. There's a few upgrades I feel are weaker, which just makes me wanna avoid then, or some that I just don't like, which lowers the build variety for me personally.

- A toggle for cone vision would be nice.

- Clarity. Damage types, somewhere to see all my banishes, somewhere to see the entire upgrade tree, see the description of all my chosen upgrades, and so forth.

There's little to no variations in runs. Upgrades are either bad, weird or beyond broken. Your undead "army" is in reality, just a blob of the undead, good luck commanding them properly

After 100% this game. I can finally say that I know enough about the game to make a review on it.

20 minutes until dawn is, as you might have already figured out, a roguelike reverse bullet hell.

You fire bullets, bats, fireballs, grenades, arrows, or a sword. Whatever fits your style. There's plenty of viable builds, from anything to infinite ammo lightning bow (might crash the game, do take care), to (near) infinite sword spin, to dodge builds, to summon builds, to tank builds, to... Well, there's plenty of builds you can go.

If you like reverse bullet hell games, and roguelike games. You'll probably enjoy this game. Especially considering the price.
