Rust is one of those games that can either become your favorite pastime or a source of sheer frustration, depending on how you approach it. For me, playing Rust with my wife on PvE servers has been an absolute blast. We’ve spent countless hours raiding monuments, building elaborate raid bases, and taking down bradleys or helicopters together. There’s also something incredibly satisfying about just relaxing and crafting your dream home in the middle of a chaotic world. The freedom to create and strategize with someone you enjoy playing with is what makes Rust stand out for us.

However, the game takes a steep nosedive when it comes to PvP servers. Toxicity is rampant, and the experience often feels more frustrating than fun. If you’re not up for constant griefing or aggressive players, PvP servers might make you question why you even launched the game.

Another downside is how Facepunch, the developers, seem to be steering the game in a questionable direction, especially for map creators and content makers. Updates often feel like they’re ignoring or outright harming the creative community that has kept Rust vibrant for so long. It’s disappointing to see such a disconnect between the devs and the creators.

In conclusion, Rust can be an amazing experience if you stick to the aspects that bring you joy, like PvE servers and creative building. But beware of its toxic PvP community and the frustration that can come with some of the game’s development choices. For us, the good times still outweigh the bad, but Rust definitely isn’t for everyone.

It's okay for 1$, but it's far from a good game..
as a cheap or basically free game it's still enjoyable for a good few hours, but would never pay the full price for it

This game is so bad that even the undead wouldn't want to play it. If you're looking for a laugh, play Postal 3 for the ultimate comedy of errors, but don't expect it to be a gaming masterpiece. It's like a bad B-movie sequel that you can't help but watch, just to see how much worse it can get.
