What can I say... I am extremely sad. I've played the game on my trusty GameCube for so many hours. This game is a huge part of my childhood, I've done the campaign so many times and played the multiplayer for so long with my counsins and my brother. I've been so hyped for the past months because this game was getting released again. I haven't been this happy about a game in a long time. I just feel so sad now.

Is this version worth it ? Absolutely not. It's really buggy, the sound design is messed up, the animations are off, the AI is bad even on the highest difficulty... you'll find many other comments detailing all this.

In terms of graphics, sure it's nice, it's better than the previous version and it does the job. And the fact that they used the original audio dialogues for the previous game is so cool (I still know some of the lines by heart !). The character models seems more true to the comics than the old game and it's a nice touch !
But that's about it. Graphics and dialogues can't do everything and can't save this mess of a game.

Get the original version, really you'll enjoy it. It's the precursor in terms of cel-shading in gaming, and the immersion is so great.

Please, I'm begging you, make it better, update it, fix the many bugs, correct the audio and all the other things people are talking about in the reviews. I'm ready to wait more, and change my review in the future. I know you guys at PlayMagic and Microids can do it

I just want to play this upgraded version of one of my favourite game like I used to play when I was a child.

Despite numerous years of development, the game finally give what it promised a long time ago. I really am having fun when I play it with some friends, it's way less clunky that it used to, and the developpers never let it down and keep adding really good updates with good content. Thanks to anyone who is working on this game, you guys are doing a great job.

It's basically a simulator of how I would live my life if I was Elon Musk.

Let me start by saying that Oddworld is and will stay my favourite franchise ever, but only Oddysee and Exoddus, not the others in 3D. The reason I don't like them is the same reason I don't like New 'n' Tasty : it is not the same in 3D.

I know that Munch's Oddysee and Stranger's Wrath are not meant to be like Exoddus or Oddysee, but the 3D universe in those 2 games didn't really fit for me.

I think that the main thing that made me love Oddworld in the first place when I was a kid is the universe made out of boards. Each boards were unique in their own way (by the colours, what's happening in the background...) and even though I was so damn hyped for New 'n' Tasty, at the end I am truly disappointed. I am disappointed because this is not the same at all. The principle of boards disappeared, the sounds are totally not the same (I don't feel the magic in Abe enchantment anymore, and Scrabs sounds weird...), some scenes that were beautiful for me are so much different now, the gameplay is not the same with this 3D universe...

I kind of lost all the landmarks I had while playing the original, and I thought I would need a lot to lose them because I can't remember how many times I've done the Oddysee (on PS1, on PC, on PSP...), but I sure know some parts of the game by heart.

Now, I'm not saying that New 'n' Tasty is bad in itself, that they didn't put any effort in it. The textures are great, the lighting is impressive, the background is rich, the Mudokon's voices are funny (not Abe)... but for me, the 1997 version is way above.

I'm sorry if I sound like an elitist (especially with my profile picture) in some way, but I had so much hype for this remake and I kind of feel let down because it's too different from the original. It's not the same magic that in Oddysee, not the same gameplay (because the boards are gone. In the orignal, you could hide from a slig just by running from a board to the other).

I truly love Oddworld, I can confirm that this game made me love video games, but I can't love this remake and I have read that some people are exactly like me. I'm happy that they have done it though, because it allow people who didn't know about Abe to go on an adventure with him.

Should you buy this game ? Yeah you should, it is a well made platforms game. But if you are buying it, please try to do the original version of 1997 first, or at least the beginning when you escape from RuptureFarms. I know the graphics will not be the same, but you will understand what I am talking about (and how the Scrabs sounds horrible).

A bit short like the other people said before, but man it is great anyways. The story follows HR and is very enjoyable. Graphics and sound are good, and I really like the fact that you can inspect a lot of props like alcohol bottles and other items.

This game will play with your emotions, I guarentee it. In the season 1, you play as an adult who would do everything to protect the last person he is caring about. Now, you play this last person, and it's worse than ever.

Now, Clementine is 11, and her childhood is completely ruined by this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up world. By the choices you will make, you will get through anger, sadness, hesitation, and a lot more. The moments of hapiness are now as short as her hair.

I don't know what to say about this game. This is a masterpiece of storytelling. And I want more. It's been 5 days now, and I can't get it out of my head.

This game has destroyed me emotionally.
