After a third balance/bugfixing patch in the first two weeks, I finally feel comfortable recommending Stalker 2.

I am admittedly a Stalker fan. The setting and atmosphere of the previous games, as well as novels and film, are very appealing to me. Stalker 2 knocks setting and atmosphere out of the park. The gunplay is very enjoyable. Balance concerns with mutants were addressed within a week of launch. The glitches that impacted gameplay/prevented quest progression are being steadily addressed. Issues with cost of gear maintenance have also been addressed.

At this point, if the idea of exploring a radioactive wasteland that defies the laws of physics appeals to you, it's time to jump in. There are still some bugs, and the full functionality of A-Life is still missing. But I have sunk 50 hours into this game already and am very much enjoying it. It's just a cherry on top that the game is getting better each patch GSC releases, and they seem intent to continue to improve and iterate at a fast pace.

The game is a lot of fun and I enjoyed it, but don't intend to play any more at this time.

I can't endorse the game while Sony and Arrowhead are moving to block access to legitimate players by requiring a PSN account that is unavailable to many users that the devs willingly sold the game to.

Update: Sony/Arrowhead have walked back the account linking requirement that would have locked out paying customers from many non-PSN countries. I can now in good conscience suggest this game.

SF6 takes steps to make the game more accessible while maintaining the depth that makes SF special.

I will say up front, I loved SFIV. I was a player that was brought into fighting games by SFIV. SFV was straight up garbage, in my opinion. SF6 feels a lot more like IV to me than V ever did. It holds up well with its contemporaries, and perhaps most importantly, the netcode is exceptional.

I strongly recommend giving SF6 a shot if you are a fan of fighting games. The netcode and playerbase will give you a much wider swath of humanity to play with than most other fighting games around.

The game's focus on directed war allows some cinematic and exciting moments to occur. As a player coming from Mordhau, just be aware that there is a bit less depth to the combat, but the scale and concentration, in addition to the lack of some of the more immersion breaking nonsense like spinning and dragging from Mord, makes the game more enjoyable in my personal opinion.

Early Access Review
I am thoroughly enjoying Marauders, far more than I expected to. As someone that truly loved Hunt Showdown but ultimately got frustrated with the arcade style movement in an otherwise "tactical" game, and someone that could never get into Tarkov because it was such a chore, this game seems, to me, an ideal middle ground.

The gunplay and movement feel better than Hunt's, and the game feels less like a second job than Tarkov. If either of these statements sound good to you, give Marauders a shot.

Disclaimer: The game is in early access, and there ARE bugs. With that said, blessed few of them directly impact gameplay. At least for me, I have suffered no crashes after ~35 hours and no bugs that affected actual gameplay. What I HAVE experienced are inventory/stash bugs. Items disappearing, sometimes reappearing, items stacking on top of each other, etc.

On the subject of cheaters, I have yet to see any. I know a lot of people say they're getting "one tapped" at inhuman speeds through Tier 10 helmets, but in a game where a single headshot from anything rifle caliber goes straight through it, all of my deaths have seemed pretty natural after 35 hours. I'm sure there are some hackers out there, but they are not the plague the forums would have you believe.

Happy Marauding brothers and sisters

The most accessible Guilty Gear ever, with the best implemented netcode you could ask for.

There had been a few issues with the lobbies and logging in, but those have recently been improved. What's left is a fast, frenetic, fun fighter that you can play online with anyone on the same side of the planet as you, perfectly.

The single player component is a masterpiece. You cannot go wrong playing this game.

The multiplayer is much less black and white.. I probably got 80 hours or so out of the single player before moving over to Red Dead Online. It's a lot of fun with a lot to do, but once you've unlocked everything the game has a lot less.. guided content? I'm able to enjoy doing my own thing with friends, but a lot of other people complain about a lack of "end game" content.

In either case, this game would be 100% worth the full purchase price for just the single player. I recommend every person at least play through the story, and then afterwards you can try RDO. Some people will love it, others may not, but either way you WILL get your money's worth from Red Dead.

Classic, nostalgic 90s Doom. If you want to scratch that itch, this does it.

A blast to play if you're a fan of large scale, combined arms combat similar to the Battlefield franchise, but on an even LARGER scale.

Absolutely a blast to play. The game admittedly starts slow, which is what I think most people take issue with. Once you have a few weapons and a few upgrades, and adjust to the pace/abilities (chainsaw, flame belch, grenades) it is one of the most purely enjoyable shooters I've played to date.

If you give it a try and don't instantly fall in love, I urge you to play at least until you get the Super Shotgun before you give up.
