Much shorter than the original, definitely not worth the price unless you pick it up on sale or loved the original, I'd recommend playing the original first to see if you like it as this feels more like dlc.
That being said, comparing it to the original, I loved the original so I ended up having a lot of fun in this game.

Firstly, the dlc is quite different from the base game, it can be quite a bit scarier and takes place over a much smaller area. These aren't bad things but are things that aren't for everyone. If you still think you'd enjoy these things and have played the base game then I can't recommend this dlc enough, some of the moments are actually jaw dropping. A perfect storyline that crosses over with the base game but never invalidates it.

Incredible concept for a game and an amazing storytelling style. Very much a game that like to show you where to go and what to do rather than tell you. Can be frustrating at times but the overall experience of exploration and learning about this unique world is 100% worth the price if you're into this type of game.

Fun game, mechanics aren't as in depth as other mmos but has good graphics, an interesting pvp/faction mechanic and also fun combat!

Updating my review to say that the multiplayer still has it's issues but it's much more playable than it used to be. The gameplay and exploration is super fun and the combat feels great. Still around halfway through the game but the amount of content this game has to offer is nice since it's a survival game and part of the fun is building a large base and gathering supplies, it can last a while.



Original review:
In the current state of development (Aug 2020) the multiplayer is unplayable, good concept and i hope they get round to fixing it but so far they seem to be more interested in pushing content updates.

The game is just a tedious clickfest, no real choices. You just have to click to collect resources then click to use them to complete objectives on a completely linear path.

Not my kind of game, I can tell a lot of work went into it and it looks visually amazing. The trouble comes when the gameplay is just a tedious addon, would have been better as an animation. Possibly worth it when on sale but I can't recommend it for full price.

Fun little platformer, short and sweet, a few different ways to play the game and pretty fun to speedrun.

The Good:

At this stage in development, I can't recommend the game enough. If there's one thing it has going for it, it's atmosphere. Any action you make could potentially end the run for you and your chosen comrades. The creepy factor of this game makes you scared with every action you take, even once you get a bit more experience. It's incredibly well crafted for early access. You don't run into too many bugs throughout the game as the current set of implemented mechanics is quite well polished. Game balance is also on point as nobody can seem to decide which weapons are better.

The Bad: Can't judge much as bad so far as the game is in early stages however there are only 6 stages in the game at this point and while they're re-playable and are well made, still a limited amount (The devs are currently teasing new levels all the time so this shouldn't stay an issue for long). While most are annoyed with the no in game vc, I think it's okay to let it slide for how early the game is, there will be in game vc but the devs have a partnered discord server setup for vc purposes.

Additional Notes:

Hard to judge an early access game for lack of features when they're constantly showing progress and working on them but they have to be acknowledged as so many early access games in the past have gone badly even though they showed great promise. You can catch some of the devs on their discord and they are clearly listening to the community. This game shows so much promise and is the most fun I've had playing a game in a long time. I really hope it doesn't fall victim to the early access curse.
