Developers always update this game with meaningful new content for free. Over the last few years this has really become a great game and pretty big features have been added that were not part of release.

Not the best game if you want solid objectives, but great if you just want to explore space and build things.

This is one of the few games where VR is the same exact game as the non-VR version: no extra cost, no feature differences, same saves, and you can play together with non-VR players. This game is really amazing in VR, the views are amazing being able to look around the starship and the space around you is really nice.

Game runs very well on Linux through Proton btw, performance is good also

The developers might have messed up a little at first but they turned the game around to became one of the only examples of a broken game becoming great and they continue to improve it still.

Great game, but very tedious to set up an online game with friends. (No direct IP connect, sometimes frequent and random disconnects, takes forever for players to join and pauses game until the player joins, replaces disconnected players with AIs that ruin everything, etc.) One time it took more than an hour just to get past the game setup because random players kept losing connection.

A normal game can take more than 6 hours to complete, but you don't really notice until the end.

Also, the computer players in this game don't get better when you raise the difficulty. Instead, they cheat and have a thousand cities and resources by turn 10, which is annoying. They will demand basically everything you have for one of something they have, so there really isn't much fair trading. During war, they seem to have unlimited units that are created from nothing.

First I played the game and thought that this was a waste of $0.09.
Then I realized I could make $0.13 off of the trading cards.
Free Game + $0.04 Profit = 11/10

Pros:
- Trading cards are worth more than the game right now.
Cons:
- The game is pretty bad. (It is in alpha, so it could get slightly better, but probably not.)
