this is a great sequel for Hellblade, continuing the story, fixing the shortcomings and doubling down on the best parts of the first game.

i thought the first game was mid, there was too much budget put into good looks and not into the gameplay, but the second one almost makes it seem like the devs listened. theres more puzzle variety, more responsive controls and just better combat in general, only duels since group fights were very annoying in the first game, this time it feels like what the first game aspired to be in terms of quality.

the second game's story is very confusing to me, im not sure i understand it, but i like watching it unfold... the characters (yes its not just senua now) are interesting and the game isnt just a "girl vs evil men" sexist BS like horizon forbidden west, this game makes a female lead that feels human and real, and i like that, western games dont really do that these last couple years or so.

this game is also (obviously) better than ghost of sheetshima, play this instead of wasting your time with ghost of sheetshima... respect yourself

a little meh but its a fun ride for what its worth, buy on sale

obviously still better than ghost of sheetshima, one of the biggest disgraces for modern gaming
