A blue beluga looking human diver that has a sushi restaurant I manage that pays for my diving addiction.

Back to reality, This game is realllly addicting. In the beginning you spend a short time diving to get a few fish resources so that you can sell them at night (2 day dives) to customers.
The better the fish, the better the income. Good staff make a heck of a difference, and the more money you throw at your diving gear, the more stuff you can bring up per dive.

Running the sushi restaurant felt like a main portion of the game at first, now its just a fraction of the night

First a remark regarding the majority of frustrated reviews.
I tweaked my graphics settings to permit smooth gameplay, DX-11, Depth of field -off, Motion blur -off, Film Grain -off, limit frame rate to near monitor refresh, vsync -off, fullscreen (no windowed modes). <- these settings seem to fix most of the issues for a lot of people. I personally run every other setting as high as it can go at 2k resolution and get consistently higher than 60 frames with no stuttering (if there is a stutter it might be because I move the mouse too fast).

Onto the review!

I haven't gotten incredibly far in the game currently, but what I have played definitely feels like Dead Space.
Jump Scares, horror elements, even the gameplay feels similar.
I quite like it, I definitely want to see where this story leads.

I pinned a crab bot to the ground with a trash can lid and beat it to death with a claw hammer around the side of the lid after man handling a turret to shoot on command and destroy boxes. I'm now hooked.

Firstly, just get the game.
This is a wonderful adventure game.
3rd person RPG.
Death penalties (but doesnt penalize for rapid deaths)
World exploration.
Crafting.
Building.
If you're a fan of the structure of rust (sans toxic pvp), Minecraft, Space Engineers, Medieval Engineers, Outward, and other similar games. YOU MUST GET THIS GAME!
I've not encountered a single bug. Small but active dev team.
This game is going places.

Quite a learning curve, great versitility

A phenominal game and story.
Provided me quite the visceral entertainment.
I recommend playing on the highest difficulty.
