Early Access Review
Over 300 hours and 1070 total level as of the time I am writing this review.
Finished all available quests and got most skills to 50+

I really really wanted to like this game and I kept thinking to myself, "surely it gets better when I am higher level", then the higher levels came and the game has remained the same.

Most of the skills are terribly boring and feel like a chore.
Combat is a joke.
The whole game gets recycled over and over, be it monsters or gathering materials, as you level they just level up with you, by the third or fourth iteration of the same thing you just feel done with it, at least I do.

Another gripe I have with skilling is the wait time between respawns.
For example, you are trying to train fishing , most fish spawn in a group of 6, so you will normally do a fishing rotation 4 times and either bank , sell or drop the items .
A big annoyance for me is that after each cycle I have to sit around twiddling my thumbs waiting for fish to spawn.
It's like 10-15 seconds each cycle, just makes the experience feel much worse than it should.
Its similar with mining and woodcutting, although woodcutting has those atrocious blocks that your character has to jump up and down before and after each action making it feel like the worst skill of the three.

Anyways there are a lot of people commenting on the skills and why they are bad so I wont keep doing that.

What I do want to mention is that this is for all intents and purposes , at least as of right now, a single player game, which is being marketed as an mmo.
Yes you can see other people around you and chat with them but there is no trade, no real group content (no chopping 1 type of tree and catching 2 types of fish in coop does not count as group content)
Nothing like a raid or a dungeon in the horizon , hell I don't even see how party play would work with this combat system, its pretty terrible.
My problem with that is the monetization.
The game is being monetized like an mmo , meaning it has a monthly subscription to unlock content.
This would be fine in an mmo but for the game in its current state it feels pretty terrible.
Allowing players to buy act 3 and 4 like an expansion pack or a supporter pack of sorts would just feel so much better and make more sense, at least until the game is an actual mmo in the future.
I don't know,to me this just feels sleezy from the devs side, might just be me that feels this way though.

The point is, don't try this game as it is right now, its really not worth it.
However I do have to add that there has been a lot of qol updates since it came out and more are being delivered all the time.
If you are interested in this game, give it some more time and come back to it when it is ready.
Probably a year or so, and at that point I hope I can turn this to a thumbs up
