This game is a tough one, and while I recommend it, this comes with some heavy caveats:

If you care about playing up to date blood bowl (that is, the new BB2020 ruleset) and/or playing online easily, then yes, BB3 is the way to go.

If you play with friends, care more about having access to every team, and it being cheap so everyone can buy it, it's still worth sticking with BB2.

The game itself is better now than BB2 imo, but the trade-offs such as the monetisation policy, smaller selection of teams, no mutant customisability, make it hard to just blanket recommend.

TL;DR wait a year or two for all the teams to be out and it on sale. But if you love Blood Bowl, I do have to say it's the best for multiplayer.
