I have to commend Tripwire Interactive for the excellent sound design and gun animations, large variety of weapons and intense gameplay. I have played this game for years on and off and it never cease to entertain me. Hell on earth matches are often very intense and challenging despite being well familiar with the game at this point.

One unfortunate issue though, like most online games, it suffers from elitist meta players. The kf2 community is usually nice, but the occasional annoying elitist show up from time to time, though they often stay in the same servers. I have learned to recognise these servers and avoid them.

Meta players will call you every name in the book if:

- You don't use the one meta gun for your choice of perk
- You make a slight mistake
- You use the "wrong" skill for your choice of perk
- They die even if their death is entirely their own fault
- You are better than them

Luckily though, since most players are nice, the elitist player will fail to vote kick someone pretty much all the time unless you accidentally joined one of the aforementioned meta servers.

There are five bosses in the game. Abomination, King fleshpound, Hans Volter, Patriarch, Matriarch. The first two are boring and will very rarely kill you (you will most likely win 97/100 times). There's a 20% chance a specific boss will spawn, since there are five to choose from.
The problem is, the same boss can spawn in over and over again no matter what server you join, purely out of back luck with RNG, and for some reason, this happens exclusively with the abomination and king fleshpound for me. I once, no joke, met King fleshpound six times in a row before another boss spawned.

Apart from that and ridiculous over-priced skin/emote microtransactions, it's a great and intense FPS I highly recommend.
