Great game if you want a mostly chill economy management x tower defence-y game with preset scenarios & building options, but a variety of 'builds' through the perks design. Even with only a handful of levels currently there's a good amount of replay-ability just trying different builds chasing high-scores. Personally I find any wave/defence game that includes your own little horde of troops just innately fun to watch.

Despite being a new title and not have the years of DLC content CK2 has, CK3 shines in it's own ways. The new ruler/dynasty system feels much more impactful with the ability to achieve and improve most heirs through trials and work. Early game choices actually have an impact on how you play later in the game, and actually add some more variety and options that just wasn't possible in CK2. Very keen to see where the game ends up years from now when it's got just as many DLC's (RIP wallet) as CK2.

Still to this day one of the best survival sandbox games I've played. There's nothing quite like Wurm, but for a *very* layman's terms explanation think of the love-child of Minecraft, Runescape and EVE Online in a colonial/new world fantasy setting.

Easy to loose days of your life to without batting an eye - whether you're living a mundane life as a road-builder, or channeling Rim World scenario vibes when you get your $*** kicked in by a Tortoise while out hunting.

10/10 would recommend braving the green menace.
(Ignore the review bombing - a lot comes from server issues on launch day).

The first time I ever played this game I hap-hazardly struggled through every element of it, which honestly just adds to the charm. Trying to save an injured enemy to convert them by conducting surgery with an entirely unskilled and incompetent doctor resulted in an arm amputation ending with the prisoner missing an eye, kidney, left leg and eventually the hand. 10/10

Honestly, sometiomes you just need to relax after a long day of work and what better way than amping up bounce and gravity, changing the shape of your ball and jumping into discord to revel in the chaos that is Golf with your friends.

Great game by Paradox that really mixes classic 4X strategy with more forgiving 'Paradox-esque" traits from Crusader Kings II and Europ Universalis.

I've yet to reach a point where nothing is either impossible nor a pushover. No matter how big you grow there's almost always someoone (or multiple) who can put you back into your place if you get greedy. The reverse being true when theres always a way to claw your way back into the game either through diplomacy or shrewd tactics.

The ethics system is honestly one of the greatest mechanics in any 4X game I've played to date. Each individual pop will have it's own traits, preferences and ethics that may vary differently from their neighbours. Depending on your actions factions of individualists may rise up to combat your attempts to silence individuality. Or maybe your pacifist citizens are tired of your militaristic ways and decide to stand up for their own beliefs. It's a nice addition as it feels that each race and pop has it's own agenda rather than being another number to pay taxes or join your military.

The introduction of a semi-RNG tech system is also an amazing new spin on traditional strategy games. While still partially present in the background linear tech-trees and best practice are things of the past. Sure you maybe be able to rush to Artic colonisation so improving habitatibility now might seem a great idea - and then the card might not appear for 30 years. While I'm sure this might agitate some players it does add the complexity other 4X research lacks. Rather than being commited to unlocking techs one after another they're presented almost as scientific breakthroughs you won't neccesarily expect. In my current playthrough the sudden arrival of a clone army tech was awesome as I had no idea that was even a thing - and in my pacifist, xenophile republic based off of the Star Wars Galactic Republic it was a space geek dream.

The combat is simple and may lack some of the mincromanaging skills of other 4X games but lets be honest - it's a Paradox game we never expected that in the first place. Instead it's more about taking th opportunity to strike when it arises - maybe your enemy was drawn into another war or is facing domestic rebellion. Maybe you just unlocked a new tech (hell yeah Advanced Strike Craft) that they have no means to combat. Combat is all about understanding your opponents fleets and building to exploit their flaws while also minimising your own.

Of worthy note is the movement system. It's great to see access to wormhole, hyperspace and warp as seperate categories of space travel. It adds more variety to engagement and minimalises the chokehold effect other 4X games may emply. Sure you can build a massive defense station at the chokehold of the hyperspace way - that won't stop warp drives simply bypassing the system. It's nice to force players to think more critically of their decisions and encourage unorthodox gameplay.

All in all despite some of the minor issues and lacking capabilities in the game currently it's well worth the price for a game you'll gladly sink hours into. Knowing Paradox the game will recieve support, continual bugfixes and about a million expansions (all of which I'll gladly buy) that will result in one truly amazing game.

Give it a shot and make space great again.

Beginning with Ragnar Lodbrok I conquered Scandinavia, colonised Britain, reformed the religion and became a feudal government. The resulting Viking Empire is currently crushing Christendom under it's boot while pillaging the Sunni followers for everything their worth.

10/10 best DLC for Crusader Kings 2

I played this game the day it was released.
> Die to a Raptor within 5 minutes.
> Respawn.
> Meetup with friends.
> Get chased by a Sabretooth and run into water as friends said they can't swim.
> They can swim.
> Getting mauled to death.
> Friends laughing their ass off in TeamSpeak watching from the shore.
> Look at shore.
> T-Rex runs out from the trees and insta-kills one of them.
> Screaming ensues.
> We all die laughing our asses off.

10/10 Game right then.

Really great sandbox game that stands true to Wurm Online's core values.

Pros:
Very few strict limitatations on what you can do - create an island by hand or become a potato farmer: the choice is yours.
Pretty smooth with few issues even on servers with high ping.
Customizable servers.
Singleplayer / Easy private server hosting.

Cons:
Steep learning curve.
Overwhelming options at first - Use wurmpedia.com

All in all it's a great game and I really do recommend trying it; just don't give up if you struggle initially. Hop into a server and ask for help, other players will gladly give you some pointers in the right direction,

Great game to sit around and lose several hours/days/weeks woth your friends. (seriously, we spent a majority of 2 weeks playing this in semester break, first year of university).

Not pay to win, relatively bug free gameplay and generally a pretty populated and fun game to be part of. The more players who get into it, the better the experience is going to get.
