Early Access Review
I would actually recommend the game in its current state on the basis of the community. Now I am not talking about the public servers made by Funcom, which can sometimes be a pain due to people most of the time murdilating others on sight, but communitydriven servers. I have had a blast doing dungeons with other people and create big structures on a roleplaying pvp server, even inciting small scale barfights. It has its bugs and petty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and it crashes sometimes, but if you find a great server with a good community you will most likely have a good time.

I found this game very nice, it had an interesting story and simple gameplay, with only a few smaller mistakes to it:¨

- The game has no introduction to its controls or a tutorial, but this is hardly a problem as the controls are exceptionally simple
- The game is very short, it only took me 3 hours to complete it, so I would say that people should wait to buy it, as 15 euro for 3 hours is not alot, albeit that the hours were well-spent.
- The ending was not what I expected, but they could have done a bit more out of it.

Let me start off by saying that I bought this for nostalgic reasons. I am very disappointed and I feel like I wasted my money. I have barely played it before writing this review, but the problems and concerns are piling up.
First things first: I am extremely disappointed at the graphical "facelift"... its not even slightly better than the original its the same... except for the water, but the water wasn't even bad in the first one. They didn't even touch the damned models, yes the original models from the original AoM were good for the time... but with recent graphical discoveries and the furthering of technology and demand I do not see how they can call it a facelift, and they even messed up some of the old god photos. New features... none that I have seen other than the dwarf campaign, which is lacking and boring. There are a few bugs I have encountered such as units getting stuck in corpses and trees and whatnot. What I cannot fathom is that they took an old game, which functions perfectly, and ruined it and skyrocketed the price for the same effing thing. With my current rig (i7 4770K, R9 270x toxic and 8 gb ram etc.) I get fps lag, which I rarely encounter.
I would even go as far as calling this an insult against the original developers. I am now curious, and kind of hoping that they are actually going to man up and actually rewamp the graphics, because that was the biggest thing I was looking for.
If you have the original, don't be an idiot like me and buy this (unless you are going for the multiplayer asset)
If you want to play this game only for single player then either buy the original (as its cheaper and there is absolutely no reason to waste more money than necessary)
If anybody who is entranced by this game and sees that I fail to mention good parts then you are more than welcome to write to me.
