"NOOO, I CAN'T DECIDE WHAT TO PLAY!!!"

Hehe... Look familiar. Scenes like these are happening all over the Super Earth right now!

Well I might have the solution for you... Helldivers 2, a game that is pure synergy based on many other amazing games in one. And the strange thing is that it works so damn well, it's almost criminal! Strap on your Battlefield, Aliens, Starship Troopers, Half-Life, Deeprock Galactic, Doom, Halo, Super Turbo Turkey Puncher 3, Earth Defense Force, Left4Dead, Arena shooter Unreal/Quake, some FPS boots.

And so many more I can't even recall, "etc..." doesn't even begin to describe it!

Helldivers 2 is community driven where we are issued Major Orders to defend planets and sectors from the Automatons and Terminids. And its entirely possible to lose said Major Orders, the danger lies in a sub-optimal distribution of Helldivers fighting on planets that aren't a priority. Or Simply simply not having enough Helldivers playing at any given time. It's not a game breaking system, but can cause medals (currency) or rewards to not be unlocked

Arrowhead Game Studios also works hard to release monthly content patches with new warbonds, which you can unlock with super credits currency, purchasable and collectible in game to get yourself some fancy new weapons, cosmetics and new armor

All in all,

Make the most important decision in your life...

Join the Helldivers!

It's a sad decent day for Super Earth!

2024-05-06,
Sony has been taught a lesson, bending the knee in presence of the sheer overwhelming solidarity by the community at large. Corpo greed has no power here!

However, right now they only removed their PSN (PlayStation Network) requirement. The people who bought the game in the region locked countries are still not able to purchase or play the game if the region lock is not removed, Known restrictions for Helldivers 2[steamdb.info]

2024-05-05,
Helldivers 2 is a game that everyone should've tried, if it wasn't for the sad fact that Sony scammed people into buying the game who will eventually be unable to play next month due to how PSN (PlayStation Network) isn't available in their countries.

Only 69/195 countries allow PSN, which mean that the game they paid for will be no longer be available, as in no "play" button or servers to play on regardless...

Some have indeed received their refunds from Valve/Steam beyond the 2 hour playtime window. But only after requesting it multiple times, so a "human reviewer" instead of an automated response bot had a look at it

It is beyond ridiculous how a game as good as Helldivers 2 has been sabotaged by by corporate greed, but the sad fact is that Sony is entirely responsible for this consumer rights violation! I'm not refunding as Arrowhead is also a victim in this, but you are well within your rights to do so IMHO

Morally I have the obligation to not recommend Helldivers 2 and stand in solidarity with the people who can no longer play after the PSN account becomes mandatory on June the 4th 2024...

Early Access Review
Placed an anti-personnel mine around the corner of a door. Looked up and saw an entire squad coming right for me, managed to shoot one of them, who also got revived after which they got me...

Wounded and on the ground, I told them to mind their step at the exact time where one of them stepped on my mine, Everyone was laughing and they proceeded to drag both me and my newly found exploded mine buddy around, refusing to revive him

Game turned into a rather oddball spectator game for both of us and it was too damn funny having a bit of banter with my newly found frenemies

First playthrough I had the bright idea to start on Rock Bottom as I tend to always try the hardest mode. So... My guy found himself in the desert with one arm, I decided to go the most norther town called Bark for unfounded reasons, however I got jumped by a skimmer who managed to hit me once in the head. I did manage to escape and arrived at the town, where went into a shop to try and steal a bandage, but fell unconscious. The shopkeeper wasn't having any of that, picked me up and put me outside where I died

Rock Bottom was a lot of fun, 10/10 would die again!

I like shooting stuff and things, mostly things. This game has a lot of stuff and things that need to be shot. Once you're done shooting, there's usually color coded keys to find for color coded doors for that extra DooM vibing, It does get in the way of the action, where you have to find the damn door to get back to the shooting part. But then again, you are are locked in a room with the cannon fodder for most of the time in that DooM '16 Arena style of Last man Standing style, so waiting for doors to open seems to be part of the explosive experience

It's a messy and chaotic bit of combat, where explosions and guts get in your field of view... A lot... Making it hard to see the more you shoot. Just make sure you keep moving around and shooting in the general direction of everything that's shooting in your general direction. They don't like it when you shoot at them, I worked that out myself.

The big bad ass "boss types creatures" seem to be heavily armored but easy targets for the most part. It's actually the cannon fodder randomly spawning in you need to worry about!

There's also a floating skull guy who tends to gets shot, but that's only because he looks and sounds like something that needs to be shot or gets in your way. I guess he also utters important tidbits of information, but I ain't got time for that!

I rate it Friendship is Magic and Magic is Heresy!

Stumble into obvious traps made for epic encounters on your fancy motor cycle that make you wonder: "Why don't we just go around it"?

Trying to avoid smellies that for some odd reason can smell you from a distance hiding in a bush over their own stench, I dare say it might be time someone told your biker lad to take a friggin' bath. While you ride into the sunset on your metal steed you may want to steer clear of the usual splashing of road zombies, they can and will grab your from your bike and then you're literally the last man standing where you'd prefer to be riding

Oh and sometimes you shoot people, because reasons...

I guess the trailer's are pretty neat....

That jab comes with an obvious warning... I wasn't able to get it to run with a friend being unable to get past the ridiculous 3rd-party DRM. She isn't tech savvy enough to get be able to try all the fixes and the ones that we did try that were easy, didn't work. In the end it kept preventing a connection between the clients and EA-Online, to get beyond the loading screen into the game

It Takes Two looks like a pretty neat and fun game. However I guess it Takes Two (Valve and EA) to get rid to ridiculously faulty DRM! Get past that, I guess watch some Let's Plays to see if it's something for you, it could be pretty neat (I wouldn't know from first hand experience though). However keep the DRM issues that seem all too common in mind

If you want to experience what going insane feels like, buy this slow paced broken piece of crap they dared to call a game. It's hilariously broken, basically stepping into comedy territory with it's voice acting, animations and bugs. I managed to break so much in this game, it almost started playing itself! However, even for the low price/on sale, I cannot in good conscience recommend it, unless you're a glutton for punishment like me...

Full playthrough of me gradually going insane as the game continuously falls apart around me until there's almost nothing left:

Have a plan to stab everyone you see, great to lose friends and make powerless enemies... The perfect manipulation simulator that's entirely cross platform.

Note:
It could be improved with proper custom servers for modding and map making, As of right now, modding is only available for PC and everyone has to have the mods/maps installed

When a game has an Epic Space Cow vs a Giant Tin Man, it's hard not to like this game. FPS perfectly combined with RTS, good stuff!
