Yep it's gonna be a fantastic successor, nothing to worry about imo so if you liked the original and were debating just get it. There's already plenty to do for early access.

Every major update has robbed me of my freedom for at least a month at a time, and 1.6 is no exception.

I beat this game several times forever ago. 100%'d it more recently, and still think about how much I love this game and its predecessor to this day.

Can't recommend it enough

It's better than the first one, I like it & was worth the price. Areas & bosses are cool, fun optional mini-challenges, and burdens (think Hades heat gauge) are actually interesting additions to the game.

I don't like the ranged weapon classes, aiming feels really awkward at least as a controller player, but that is more of a personal gripe. It can be a grind but I personally expect that from this sort of game, and since the gameplay is engaging and fun, I don't have an issue with this.
