this game would be so much fun in co-op

sadly it isn't currently but going on disscord streaming the game to try and think together is already quite good

the cases feel quite in depth and you actually have to work to solve a case correctly great game

dead project, did not end up getting anywhere close to what was promised, glad I was gifted this by a former friend in the olden days and that I didn't spend a dime on this XD

not impressed, while optimization seems better than previous entries, I actually am not too big of a fan of how the game looks, and also the game is barely playable with an ultra wide, the camera zoom has to get fixed.

Is legendary a good game?

short answer no...

but here's why I still recommend it:
It's cheap, very very cheap and while the game turned out to be very "janky" in terms of player control and the fact that sensitivity only changed the normal looking around sensitivity but not the aim down sight sensitivity. I still enjoyed my playthrough because of how original the concept was. The storytelling wasn't great and the game is janky as mentioned before but for how well they designed the levels, from a city in ruins to metro tunnels and hallways filled with blood, mangled bodies and burning metro wrecks everywhere I have to give them some reputation for that. And the start of the game where all the cars were being picked up by griffons and the big golem smacking through an appartment block was also something that I can really appreciate. The gunplay is not special and is also again quite "jank" but the music was it's saving grace for me. I can't express how much I loved the soundtrack, it fits very well with the waves of badies and critters coming to rip me apart only for them to realize it's them that's gonna be ripped to pieces.

Either way I had no issues with lag, glitches or crashes except for the famous "elevator bug" at the end wich proved easily fixable by putting the fps limit down to 30 fps until the next checkpoint and therefor I'll give this game a 6/10. and I honestly would give it a 7 or even an 8 if two things were different.
(I'm also keeping in mind the fact that this game is from 2008 and am therefor being mild as well, if this were a 2020 release I would've given it a 4/10 or a 5/10 mostly due to graphics being sub standard for current gen obviously and 3D objects being quite low poly)

1: the ADS sensitivity was a thing and gunplay not as jank
2: if the elevator bug didn't exist (I mean seriously how did that get past testing before release)

(will edit review after some time played)

no need for an epic account THANK GOD praise the lord jezus above...
anyway yes will write a review when I give this game a try.

EDIT:
optimization for multiplayer is wonky, the host will suffer from FPS issues and anyone connected to him will experience teleporting items, desync, and very wonky animation glitches.
(problems like desync, teleporting and animation glitches are more extreme wen using the vehicles not to mention the physics on them are... almost non existent)

The game itself has a couple minor bugs but nothing too serious. (items sometimes not transferring or machinery clipping) but this was not too annoying since you can just disassemble and reassemble machinery on the go.

The game itself is "chill", it's not chaotic in the sense that you are going to be attacked by swarms like some other factory games it's instead only chaotic whenever your teammates place belts all over the place and your factory starts looking like a bowl of ramen.
however, it can also be very boring since the wildlife's AI is... quite dumb.

physics wise the game is quite a mess: water has no physics, the player charactor seems to have low gravity mode enabled, cars don't like touching anything (even the ground) and animals seem to be able to "phase" through solid stuff.

if I have to give this game a score... it's gonna be a 5.8/10 honestly... I feel like the game was either released too early on the epic games store (and yes -1 point for exclusivity) and is after 1 year still in early access... you would expect more from a game that already earned this much popularity and income during the past year... I have to say, very disappointing...

(oh also, azerty §/6 hotbar shortcut doesn't work you have to hold shift to get around this bug but it's just... something so simple that for some reason doesn't work)

I still recommend playing it but yeh just be aware that everything is wonky.
when this game is updated further I will edit the review again.

This is one of the best games I've played yet.

good storytelling, gameplay, visuals, mechanics and the atmosphere was very immersive
that's all I can say.

8.9/10

if you bought this game for you and your friends... you know ur sadistic :)

I like this game but I hate it.... :D but that's a good thing.

if you liked "getting over it" by wich this game is obviously inspired. you will most likely find yourself enjoying this game as well. the multiplayer aspect and possibility for on screen speedrun timer make for great reasons to play this game. multiplayer because it's fun to hear your friends or others suffer, and the speedrun timer because you no longer need external timers and could try to speedrun this game way easier than others where this isn't present.

all in all for this genre and for such interesting new mechanics (new to this genre) I will give this game a 8/10

I played through this game on console and decided to revisit it on pc so that I could remember the story for the second game.

while graphics are a bit clay-ish and some animations a bit awkward it really didn't bother me and it actually gave the game a little more character. The storytelling was nice and the ability to rewind time is just a great concept for a storyteller. If you haven't already picked up this game and you are looking for a good storyteller I strongly suggest you pick this game up.

8.5/10
