Okay, overall the game is a worthy upgrade from the original JWE. Graphically the game is superior, but it’s kind of compared to your yearly Call of Duty update/release. Not crazy, but better and I would say enough to appreciate. The new animations are better along with the interactions between the Dinosaurs. Still not quite enough variety, but again it’s definitely good to see the effort.

Also, the game is so much easier in terms of the micromanagement of the first game. That alone to me makes the game 10x better. I enjoy the different settings and especially the sandbox mode. The Chaos Theory mode is fun and I find it a nice addition, but at the same time would like to see more added here in terms of locations and timelines with more emphasis on the story elements of the Jurassic films.

Personally, I think the campaign for this game is kind of boring and not very engaging or remotely interesting to take part in playing. I think the original JWE did that part far better and way more interesting. However, the trade off here is that this game overall is superior in terms of sandbox, available settings, and the Dino roster when including the DLC.

I can easily recommend the game, but only on sale and with the DLC bundle. I appreciate the changes and additions, but at full price that’s kind of steep for someone who had played JWE. Now, for someone new to the games? Then maybe I could see that as reasonable, but I again would personally recommend waiting on a sale.

Anyway, JWE2 is very fun and I believe a worthy sequel to the first game. Recommend it to anyone who enjoys park management games, city builders, and or anyone obviously into the Jurassic Park/World franchise.
