I double dipped and played a little over 700 hours on PS4, regrinded my progress and enjoyed the ♥♥♥♥ out of this game.
It has its issues as all MH games do but in terms of the value I got: Man I'd buy this game again and play the ♥♥♥♥ out of it if I could wipe my memory clean.

Incoherent rambling below:

Iceborne's biggest problem was the forced implentation of the clutch claw, but ♥♥♥♥ man, it's just part of the gameplay flow. You'll either learn to use it or outright play without it and add a few mins into your hunt.
Base world: Enjoy the maps and the general smoothness of the weapons and environment.

When Rise comes to PC, you'll find that the environment and general quality of life changes made in World are missing or altered in a way that makes you feel off.
-Slopes. enjoy the slopes and the accuracy of the slopes especially as a hammer main or DB main. Slopes don't exist in Rise where you think they would be
-Inventory management: Rise's inventory is like smacking yourself against a brick repeating that you've learned your lesson from older titles and then repeating the mistakes but you're doing better- you promise.
-CB mains- having access to your entire toolkit can be a benefit or a loss depending on how you play. I like having access to my entire toolkit for those niche situations. You won't have that in Rise.
-Mantles: These capes saved lives and you'll learn to love them and miss them.

TLDR:

Enjoy this game for what it has and if this is going to be your first MH experience, it's a really good one to get into and learn the principles of what the series has to offer.

But tbh the biggest selling point is getting gear for your palico. No Cap.
