Early Access Review
The devs having now fixed the awful FPS issue from a few months back (UPDATE* 1.0 means more FPS sadness till its optimised on the RUS maps) , I was finally able to get in and try out the game. While there are some small issues here and there, the game itself is of great quality. If youve played squad or similar games and enjoyed yourself, you're bound to find some more fun here. The range of roles is great and being able to adapt and change up your playstyles can be a really rewarding experience for both new and experienced players.

I recently took the step up to the role of squad leader after about 12ish hours of experience in every infantry and armoured role, finding it to be a chaotic but highly rewarding position to play in. However, I wouldn't suggest you try doing this with less than 10ish hours of experience, and a really solid understanding of how teams work effectively both internally, and with other squads.

My main takeaways are these:

Communication, Communication, Communication! Games are won and lost on peoples ability to communicate and get the job done. Obviously you need to have some competency in combat, but if you find that to be tough, try a defensive and support role!

Don't take the role of squad leader or commander if you cant/won't communicate. Nothing is worse than someone in charge who wont issue orders or communicate whats going on.

Try everything! Like a buffet, it's worth tasting everything to get a feel for what's best for you. You've got to learn somehow, and this game is no arcade. One shot, and if youre unlucky, youre out.

Ask for help!: If you dont know what to do, don't be afraid to ask. if you're lucky enough to have experienced squad mates, they're sure to help teach you where they can.

If anything, this game helps you learn to be a better team player, and if you dont slowly get yourself used to all the communication and understand the game systems before taking a command role, you'll drown. (Even my first squad leadership was tough with all the communications, explosions and gunfire everywhere makes it hard to keep track, but that's the fun of it!)

All in all, a great game with huge potential for the future. Nice work Devs!

P.s. Thanks to everyone Ive met so far in my games who's helped teach me the game mechanics and systems, from the random who taught me how to be a tank gunner (And helped us get 4 AT kills that round), to my mates who've got enough patience and skill to explain any question ive got!

Keep it up guys! :)

A great prison sim if you like to sink in some time to learn the systems and build greater and greater prisons. It does have its occasional confusing system that needs means refering to the wiki or an answer board to understand, but they're often soon understood. Overall, Its a game with good content and I find plenty of fun in building my various sandbox prisons!

A great adventure game where you build your team of adventurers, find and unlock those with new skills, while replaying adventures for new gear and loot to continue your adventures! While a little grindy early on, by the time your team has some levels to them, and you've got a grip on gameplay, it's a great little game that's well worth the price.

A great follow on from XCOM Enemy unknown. It takes everything great about the last game, and adds even more great features. As a new release there is the occasional bug, but nothing gamebreaking by any means. Would reccomend to anyone who enjoyed the first game.

Now dont get me wrong, DayZ is a great game, and it has been when it works. IMO, Having played multiple characters and having spent enough time playing a couple of characters to the point where they are fully kitted out.

Second. This will be a great game. it 'Will be'. And i say this beacuse because as it is alpha, It is still riddled with bugs, especially frame rate and mouse accelleration problems, rendering the game unplayable. So while i say dont buy the game, i also say that it is a great game, and i have had lots of great experiences so far. But until the game is in a more stable state, and nearer final release, I would advise that you dont buy the game, otherwise, like us, You'll be left waiting for a game that wont release for a long time yet.

Having played many hours of Civ 5 I felt that Betond Earth would be a great game, and i have not been disapointed, a great game that adds and expands on the already brilliant parts of Civ 5 that have been carried over. would reccomend

even as a gamer who has not played Dota, i found this movie/documentary a good look into the world of dota and how it works from the ground up, great stories and an interesting watch!
