Speaking from a 20 year veteran with over 20k hours in this game outside of Steam, I am only posting here to make people aware that the game has slipped down the slippery slope with mandatory subscription no longer being enough to enjoy the game with a p2w battle pass giving combat benefits and absolutely screwing the Ironman community removing daily challenges for a pay to win gamble fest. Not without the fact unless you buy skips for the arbitrary levels in the pass you will not complete the pass at all, but that doesn't matter either because none of the cosmetics look good and are simply multiple recolours and animation overrides. The first "free" benefit is at level 97 - the near end of the pass so enjoy grinding 6/8 hours a day to get there unless you pay for skips :)

If Jagex read these , I've bought premier every year, the fact you lock the "hero pass" behind premier is astounding, you have devalued regular membership on top of removing the smaller premier packages. Joke of a company, hope you go broke and the shareholders go down the drain.

Go next and don't play this game, save yourself the embarrassment.

Good Game, very nice company, more pls

While I have invested countless hours into pushing the end game of this phenomenal game, the recent patch/continuous changes to player power have severely dwindled the enjoyment I have of this game.

Monsters are unkillable unless you know exactly what you are going in for and the entirety of the campaign alongside the end game content is so unfriendly to new players I would not dare touch this game if I was fresh coming into it.

i RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT!

If you are looking for a good ARPG I highly recommend alternatives like Last Epoch or Diablo 2/3 with the upcoming Diablo 4 looking extremely promising.

Fun little indie game with a very dedicated team, nearly daily patches, bug fixes are looked at pronto and absolutely phenomenal community and team behind every guild/group going.
Great things to come. Looking forward to sinking more hours into this little indie gem

After reaching max level the overall feel of the game is phenomenal and the environments are rich and varied with plenty of things to do. While content has been slow at the minute, the devs are working on it and looking to release raids soon tm due to currently poor server stability and balancing issues. Will edit closer to the time to give a more in depth review of the endgame content.

Dota 2 is one of those games you literally can not "Quit" I tried trust me it's hard....
Now to the review /o/

Gameplay - If you're not aware of the basics of the burgeoning MOBA genre, two teams of five players spawn on corners of a map. Each team needs to work together with the goal of ultimately destroying a central structure--in Dota 2's case, the Ancient--in the opposing team's base. With most games lasting around the 40-minute mark, and occasionally edging past an hour, watching the enemy fortress dramatically crumble and sink to the ground feels like an exhilarating payoff.

Community - Well needless to say EU West servers are filled with Russians... The whole of dota is filled with bad Russians who can't cooperate because of their lack of English language


Dota is a good game and I would really recommend this to anybody xD
