Amazing game that scratches a cute-but-not-overly-cute sci-fi itch, and absolutely recommended to play even by yourself, but especially recommended if playing with a friend.

Purposefully ambiguous game with beauty etched throughout, in writing, music, and art. Peaceful yet foreboding, and always pensive.

Very cute! Quite relaxing yet lots to discover and do, and it's nice to build relationships with the townspeople. Recommended! And nice to play with some friends as well. :)

Nice and chill game where you listen to your regulars' life stories and make them drinks. Very nice to relax to and play at night with a friend or partner.

Early Access Review
Edit: Recommended, especially now that the multiplayer mode is in the game!

Old review: Cute game, but I must say it currently has a quite misleading description regarding multiplayer features. It says:

“The Amethyst Mountain and Slough Creek episodes are fully playable, along with the Lost River map. Multiplayer is also available in Amethyst and Lost River, but not yet in Slough Creek.
-Hunt elk, mule deer, and moose.
-Find a mate (seeking, courtship, and trial mission together)"

Despite this, I have confirmed on their Discord server that there is no current multiplayer Raise Pups feature in the Anniversary Edition (that requires an area called Slough Creek, which is not out yet), which is kind of the whole reason I got the game. So do not buy this game yet if you're looking for raising a strong wolf family with a friend, because for now, you can't. It does stand pretty decently on its own as a single player game, but the description should be fixed.

Very unclear hitboxes, as well as incredibly strange concept of "levels" where you'll see a level 2 piranha that can somehow oneshot you right next to a level 32 one in the same "easy" environment, so that you can't get your stuff after dying in the water. Also, the interface is incredibly clunky which is a huge personal turnoff. I couldn't get very far before spending more time being frustrated and bogged down in bugs, and customizing controls, than actually having fun.

I love this game, and the developers respond super fast on Reddit etc. if anything goes wrong. The constant leagues with new content are amazing, and the fact that you can play without spending a cent (though extra stash tabs are a great buy) is a phenomenal deal. The game itself is just fantastic, and totally scratched my D2-like ARPG itch after D3 was a letdown.

Funny, tongue-in-cheek game that doesn't take itself too seriously at all. ^_^ It does a great job of bringing you through several different styles of game, such as Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, Diablo/Torchlight, and more. I enjoyed it over a few days, nursing on it for a couple hours each time to get all the stars and cards and achievements, and it was fun for the time I played it. If you're not interested in collecting everything, you can beat it in just a few hours.

I quit this game for awhile after the first time I played it about 10 hours into the game (level 12) because of my frustration with too much traveling and waiting and not being able to allocate my stats upon leveling up. Unlocking the pegasus ability greatly helped the former, but the latter is still a major downer. Why take the ability to allocate stats out of the game?

Anyway, this game is much like its predecessor, King's Bounty: The Legend, but it isn't nearly as captivating. I figure one of the main reasons is that you spend a whole lot more time boating around as opposed to walking or flying to other places, which felt far more engrossing. I eventually came back to play it more and had a slightly better experience after getting over a hump in the gameplay. In any case, the game is still fun, and I can recommend it by itself, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it over The Legend. 6/10.
