i don't play too many games, but SOCOM got me into military games back in the day. My favorite mode was Supression, which was a team game that didn't have respawning. When you died, you had to watch and wait for the rest of the team to finish.

Then i moved over to Battlefield as SOCOM started to fizzle out. Battlefield is awesome for team play because each character class and/or vehicle you play has a specific set of skill sets to help the team. Also, Battlefield has lots of awesome vehicles. They have Land, Sea, & Air vehicles that you can actually use. Call of Duty is just a fast shoot 'em up and no strategy & tactics. Battlefield is more team oriented, but still kind of fast, which is just a problem of Respawning games.

Then PUBG kind of brought back my favorite mode from SOCOM, which doesn't have respawn, which slows the games down and forces people to be slower, more careful, and strategize more .... which makes it awesome to play as team (squad) games.
