The game is great, IF you get to play it. Unfortunately for me, every single time a new patch hits it expects me to perform open heart surgery on my PC to get it to run again.

It expects me to uninstall and reinstall my graphics drivers, making sure I then run the game in Windows 8 compatibility mode BEFORE I let the game run the shaders or else it WILL crash when it hits about 80% without skipping a beat. Once this happens we're back at square one and I have to redo the process from scratch. Doing all of this does not guarantee a guarantee a consistent result and leaves me with a game I can't play until I feel like tinkering with my drivers again.

I even got a new graphics card and CPU which, as it turns out, only makes the game run somewhat decently, but from what I understand this is a universal issue as the game is just incredibly poorly optimized.

An absolutely incredible game. Scrumptious gunplay and tight controls. Super fun and hyper addictive!

you'll be hard pressed to find a more faithful and creative recreation of an abandoned franchise than this. i backed it and followed its progress back in november of 2022 and it turned EXACTLY into what it promised.

smooth and precise controls with everything you'd expect from the series that inspired it. it's so faithful it almost felt like i was playing F-Zero GX again and all my knowledge from it flawlessly transferred over. beautiful visuals that don't overwhelm the senses. a LOT of effort was poured into the concept of "gameplay first" and you can just tell. it's so disgustingly pick-up-and-play you'd do yourself a disservice not to at least give it a try.

it's not an easy game, but it's made so masterfully and carefully it respectfully asks you to give it a try anyway. and when you succeed? it grabs you and you sink in your chair like the driver of your machine probably is with how fast you're going.
