Very cinematic. Amazingly star wars. Intense conclusion. Satisfying, not stretched out, runtime. Reasonable achievements.

3 hours in and I feel like I've already trained enough to have a late-life career as a shipbreaker when SpaceX has junk to dismantle in the 2050ies.

10/10, would recommend.

Great game and a wonderful addition to the Mass Effect Universe. Ignore the drama from launch. Just don't go with the standard look for your Ryder if you wanna be able to take your own character seriously.

Pro
- Focusing on a couple big maps instead of a couple dozen planets with practically nothing to do on them except explore repeated assets was a very good decision. The worlds available to explore and run missions/quests in are awesome and feel real.
- Most encounters and "dungeons" are interesting and a nice addition to the franchise.
- Compared to MEI/II/III, you're less reliant on the combat wheel, so the combat feels more fluid and intense.
- In keeping with the ME brand, the characters are properly fleshed out and have distinct personalities. I ended up romancing two characters that I disliked at the start of the game, not just for the achievements.
- After the Reapers in MEI/II/III, I had a hard time believing Andromeda could match the stakes and keep enemies interesting and dangerous enough. They delivered on that part too.
- The multiplayer is entertaining enough for a couple dozen hours. Probably more if you're into it. There's a lot to unlock and try out. The matchmaking works better than expected for finding people, despite the age of the game.
- I'm happy I didn't play this until years after release, even tho I'm a big big fan of Mass Effect. I didn't have any bugs or broken quests. It felt polished.
- NewGame+ matters, because it's not feasible to max out everything in one playthrough. I've cleared every quest/mission, 100% completion and I'm still only level 68. In other words, you have to grind repeatable fights at enemy camps or go into NG+ to actually get to lvl 132 (max points in everything).

Con
- For me this is the only true disappointment with this game: The final boss and ending was very anti-climactic. Remember the Saren fight? Imagine if you didn't even fight him and he died because you killed some adds (arguably one of the adds is big, but you're already used to fighting those by the end of the game). Really disappointing. And I really got hyped for it because of the cutscene leading up to it.
- Servers are laggy for multiplayer.
- There's about 22 puzzles that are tied to an achievement (find and solve 20 of them in a single playthrough). Would have been nice to give a sort of heads up from an NPC or something to keep an eye out for those. If you don't save often and miss it, you basically have to start a whole new game. Luckily I had a lot of manual saves.

Early Access Review
Early Access.
Cool world to explore.
#1 Building system.
Really cool dungeons that I hope will play a bigger role (more instances, hidden dungeons in area reworks, etc).
A simple but effective class/progression system (both solo/group).
A satisfying loot table (except more armor sets would be nice, with more specialised and lvl-matching drops).
Great tools to move around and kill enemies.
Did I mention #1 Building system?

Endorphin, serotonin, adrenaline, dopamine. Get them all from this game and attract vampires with your high hormone secretion!

It's an incredibly big game. Probably the biggest combined map in any Ubisoft game ever. This also means a lot of map clearing grind, but heck, it's fun enough.
