Call of Duty Multi-Title Review: MW2 (2022), MW3 (2023), Warzone 2024, Black Ops 6
Total Playtime Across All Titles: 800+ hours

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
Rating: ★★★★☆☆☆ (7/10)
Black Ops 6 brings a return to the franchise's roots, particularly with its dark, psychologically charged campaign. The narrative takes players on a thrilling ride through a mix of conspiracies and mind-bending twists. It’s engaging, but a bit short — it could have used more content and a deeper exploration of its themes.
Multiplayer is fast and fun, reminiscent of previous Black Ops titles, but it struggles with balance issues, especially around skill-based matchmaking (SBMM). This makes casual play frustrating at times, as it often feels like you’re placed against players who are significantly better. The core gunplay, however, remains solid, with satisfying feedback and good weapon variety.
Zombies is arguably the high point of Black Ops 6. The mode feels like a return to form, with classic round-based survival gameplay, engaging Easter eggs, and intricate map designs. It’s the best version of Zombies we’ve seen in a while and definitely worth the time.
Pros
• Engaging and darker campaign
• Zombies mode is solid and well-designed
• Polished gunplay and fluid movement
Cons
• Short campaign
• SBMM hampers casual multiplayer fun
• Aggressive microtransactions

Modern Warfare III (2023)
Rating: ★★★☆☆☆☆☆ (5/10)
MW3 (2023) feels like it’s caught between being a full sequel and an overpriced expansion to Modern Warfare II (2022). The campaign is disappointingly short and doesn’t offer anything particularly memorable. The story feels rushed, and the missions are essentially a collection of action sequences that feel more like filler than substance.
Multiplayer, though it brings back some fan-favorite maps, struggles with innovation. The classic maps are fun, but the lack of any real new content makes it hard to justify the full-price tag. It feels like they’ve played it too safe, recycling content rather than offering fresh experiences.
Zombies takes an unexpected turn with an open-world PvE format. While it's a change, it doesn't hit the mark. The mode lacks the classic survival horror tension that made Zombies so thrilling. The open-world elements feel more like a gimmick than a feature that enhances the experience.
Pros
• Classic remastered maps
• Smooth movement and gunplay
• Some fun fan-service moments
Cons
• Feels like paid DLC rather than a full game
• Weak campaign with little impact
• Shallow, experimental Zombies mode

Modern Warfare II (2022)
Rating: ★★★★☆☆☆ (7/10)
MW2 (2022) was a solid entry that launched with some problems but improved significantly over time. The campaign is visually stunning and offers an action-packed story that’s enjoyable but not particularly groundbreaking. While the story doesn’t quite compare to the best of the series, it delivers in terms of spectacle and variety.
Multiplayer feels refined, and the tactical maps add depth to gunfights, but there’s a lack of map variety that many players noticed early on. The new Gunsmith system is deep, but it can be overwhelming for casual players, and the balance between weapon classes still feels off at times. Post-launch support has been decent, but the content drip can feel too slow.
The game also leans heavily on microtransactions, with the battle pass feeling like it’s there to keep you hooked rather than provide meaningful progression.
Pros
• Great gunplay and visual fidelity
• Decent campaign with high production values
• Strong multiplayer foundation
Cons
• Limited map variety
• Gunsmith system is confusing
• Post-launch content feels slow

Warzone 2024
Rating: ★★★★☆☆☆ (7/10)
Warzone 2024 tries to evolve the battle royale formula, bringing in significant changes to mechanics, map design, and pacing. The map is beautiful, and the new changes to loadouts and perks bring some fresh strategies into play, but the pace has slowed down, making the game feel more tactical. While this can be a refreshing change, it also detracts from the intensity that some players loved about the original Warzone.
The game's anti-cheat measures have improved, and the server stability is better, but there are still occasional bugs and issues. Despite these problems, the game is still one of the best battle royale experiences available when everything is running smoothly.
Pros
• Beautiful new map and improved mechanics
• Balanced loadout system
• Strong anti-cheat measures
Cons
• Slower pace might not appeal to everyone
• Still suffers from occasional bugs and server issues
• Steep learning curve for newcomers
Final Thoughts

While each of these entries has its strengths, the Call of Duty series feels like it's at a crossroads. Black Ops 6 and Warzone 2024 show the most promise, offering solid experiences for both solo players and fans of multiplayer chaos. MW2 (2022) had a strong foundation but still lacks the polish to make it truly outstanding. MW3 (2023), on the other hand, feels like a half-measure, offering little beyond a nostalgia trip for longtime fans.
Overall Rating (All Titles Combined): ★★★★☆☆☆ (6.5/10)
