It's called a prefab. A ready out of the box game. Codes done. Arts done. animations done. Everything. Is. Done. You mess with some sliders, change some vaules, then bake it and play. This kid probably spent a month adjusting settings, another month of testing, then released, and is slowing adjusting more sliders and settings as time goes on.
Did he learn things on the way? I'm absolutely sure he did. I have learned a lot messing with the Unity engine for almost 5 years now. ANYONE CAN MAKE A GAME FROM A PREFAB.
I'm not hating on the kid one bit. He managed to make probably 10-20 grand off his 5 dollar gold upgrade. I'm hating on the fact you plebs don't know sh!t about the gaming industry and how easy it is to get your hands on source content like this to make "your own game" in 30 days or less.
Seriously, it's just like any other zombie survival.
