Easygoing fighting game that has a more than average dose of creativity. The story mode is rather well-done and doesn't overstay its welcome. It portrays Earthrealm as the honest-to-dollar U-ES-OF-A. And there's nothing wrong with a little jingoistic short-sightedness. Madam Bo is an arch-kapitalist. Kung-Lao and Raiden are victims of the gig economy. Liu Kang is president of the United Asian Emirates. He keeps his unpaid middle-eastern handyman locked away in a bubble away from space and time. Sub-Zero reprises his MK9 role as worst eldest sibling ever. So his place on the lowest rung on every youtube tier list isn't just well-deserved, it's morally just. Meanwhile, the Shang Tsung voice actor does an admirable Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa impression. Anyway, the invasion mode is obnoxious and painful to play. If you value your time, stick to fighting real humans who are worth your temper tantrums on how Sub-Zero is sub par. In short, yes, the game needs some balancing and the multiplayer, especially online, section needs a bit more work. But I'm sure it'll come together in a few more patches.

This game embodies the essense of Assassin's Creed. Lean gameplay with very little fat. The detective missions are a fun deviation, a pause in the action. A time to think.
This historical setting is the best of the series. Rendered in stunning detail. Co-op is fun. The missions are replayable.
Don't listen to the haters - I've hardly had any bugs when playing. Yes, the game is demanding of your system, but most of you will have specced past the requirements.

I love MKX.

That said, the reason I can't recommend this game on PC to interested gamers is because NRS/WB has dropped support for it. This means:
- No further bugfixes
- No further balance updates
- No improved netcode (which was quite bad in its original state)
- No new DLC support

To make matters worse, support was dropped after promises to the contrary were made and money from players was taken. Don't support bad practice. Don't support bad publishers (see Arkham Knight for part 2 of 2015 WB disasters)
