I used to recommend this game. Even bought it for a couple of friends.

Then Take-Two basically took away modding.

I literally can't even think of one good thing that accomplished.

Nothing matters until you complete the Second Dream quest.

Early Access Review
My Miscreated review:
Miscreated is NOT a dayZ clone. You pigs who keep saying that every zombie apoc. type game is a dayz clone, need to shut the hell up.

Miscreated does not have zombies, they have mutants, but there's really no difference but the name.
The game is very quiet, you really won't hear anything but nature until you enter a populated place or meet another player/mutant. Gunshots however are very loud, and can be heard from far away.

The game is also PvP based, as there's currently no AI that mimic players.

My pros:
- The game looks amazing, very generic response.
- Players actually don't kill on sight (most of them)
- Scavenging is actually a very big part of the game, you don't just find a gun in every house.
- Base building is very unique, takes a long time like Rust.
- Everything feels like it should be there, things are placed where they should be placed
- The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ trees don't require a 980ti to render.

My cons:
- There's currently no party system, only clans (which are useless)
- Mutants have the same pattern (follow, hit, run, follow)
- There's only one map, community maps are non-existant.
- Freeze framing happens quite a bit.

A great game made by Ubisoft, one of the only games I don't mind using Uplay for (as terrible as it is).

The firefights are like any other MMORPG but with the use of assualt rifles, and other gun-type weapons. There's nothing over the top like a flamethrower, this game has a pretty nice sense of reality. Enemies are bullet sponges, but that's how every other MMO chooses to have it, so I never found a problem with it.
Going into a firefight against enemies that are barely higher level then you (3-4 levels higher) shows the balance between them, showing a sign of progression and leveling.

The questing is different in a good and a bad way.
Good way being there is a main story line, each story mission mixes gameplay and story-telling very nicely, although players are usually grinding away at them trying to reach level 30. The main story alone would probably take about 8-10 hours of gameplay, NOT including the side missions and the weapons you have to get to achieve them.

The bad side of questing are the side missions. There's 3 different types of side missions, each one is in a different location (the voice lines in the same type of side mission are literally copied and pasted). There's also encounters, which are almost useles to do until endgame when the main story doesn't give you enough resources to get your main base to 100%.

The weapons are balanced from each other, the better rarity you have the more stats and special weapon unlocks you'll get.

Now the bad part.

The rarity system in this game is TERRIBLE. The system goes as shown, gold being the rarest and highest of value.
[0list]
  • White
  • Green
  • Blue
  • Purple
  • Gold

At first, it seems there's nothing wrong with that, but let me explain something else. At level 10-15, you will literally never get a purple for your level, they simply just won't drop, It seems as if the gold weapons wont drop until the max level. These are not showing there level of rarity, but instead they show how high-end they are.

The end game is the #1 thing you'll see people talk a lotta ♥♥♥♥ about, and it's well deserved. The end-game is just straight up BORING. The endgame is grinding for special credits for a special vendor (which to remind you is literally story quests with really hard difficulty). The darkzone is the #1 place you'll be at level 30, because you won't get anything from outside of there. The darkzone is a place where pvp is allowed, but not required. It's so damn stupid to be killed by someone with the overpowered midas or vector, while you're trying to look for one.

The game becomes different near end-game. It becomes unplayable, unfair, and unfun.

If you see this game for $20 on some 3rd-party website, please buy it with your friends and play the story, this game is great with friends. If you still see this game for $60 on Steam, do not buy it, it will never be worth it.

The price of $15 is pretty nice, gives a good 3 hours of gameplay, especially when you have friends to play it with you. Long-term, this game is terrible, and becomes unfair.

At level 50 and above, the pirates start spawning in great numbers, versus the 4 allies that spawn, 5 minutes intervals between them.
Allied ships are just, the stupidest AI I've come across. They throw harmful effects on themself, if not on them then on you, they ram you, block you, leading you to rage quits.

There's almost no distinction between the factions other then the colors of their sails, which you can change anyways with sail and hull paint. Going against the 2 higher level factions is LITERALLY unfair, they have special bonuses such as 10% more damage, speed, and armor.

The land is nice, but a bit buggy, sometimes you can get stuck on it and fly backwards 10 miles with no control, the towers they provide are way too weak, until you get to the max level of them.

Enemy AI have almost 100% accuracy with barrels and such, while my own allies can't hit me with a water barrel 10 feet away.

The first couple of levels are fun, when you have to trade and quest to get started. At about 15 you're forced to do instances because the land is too high of a level for you, at about level 25 it's consant grinding and farming.

The Syndicate's required reputation of 1000 is far to hard to get, especially when you only have a 100% difficulty. Each quest only gives about 10 reputation each, and they take 2 minutes each. The last faction is also the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ system I can think about. Level 150 and you're allowed to spawn allies near you, and give others rewards, making firefights against other players unfair.

The game not very popular either, the highest ranking server has about 60 people on it, the others are lucky to have 15.

Stronghold HD delievers the incredible and most fun aspects of "Stronghold Crusader", and makes it even better. Castle customization is inproved, as well as scenery and wildlife.

Highly recommend getting this instead of Stronghold Crusader HD.

Can be on Steam without playing Half-Life 2.
