I Loved FTL back in the day, played a few rougelikes that scratched that itch since then, Crying Suns was the best for the Space ship thing but gameplay was certainly different,I loved the setting/story. Recently Peglin really got it's hooks in me with the deck (ball) building.
Cobalt Core's feels like the perfect mix of FTL's ship gameplay (though different), Peglin's Deck building type upgrade (but actually cards), and Crying Suns setting/story (but make it cute instead of oppressing grim dark).
It's really got me and really scratches that FTL itch!

And Riggs is the best by the way...

I've only had Baldur's Gate for 7 days but if anything happened to it, I would kill everyone in this room and then myself.

Also I already have 48 hours playtime

More Outer Wilds, but a little different. It has a lot of similar aspects, and many different ones. They somehow made the exploration mechanics feel fresh yet intuitive.

If you can, go in blind. 100% blind, knowing NOTHING!
If you need a little more, it's a Space exploration game that revolves around a
central mystery
I can't say more... Except Gabbro is cool...

I've been playing StarWright...er... I mean, Cosmoteer (the dev changed the name back in June...2016...) since 2013 or 2014! It used to just be downloading updates and patches from his blog as he added updates, and like almost no one knew about it, which didn't affect me because I only play singleplayer (But there's multiplayer versus, and apparently there's co-op now).
It was a quaint little game, but now its on steam, which is awesome! There's a lot of low-effort crap that can get on steam, but this has so much love and passion poured into it, it's probably the best single-dev (at least I assume it's still just Walt working on it) game I've played.
There's been a couple changes since I last played, it visually looks mostly the same as the last time I played it, but oooohhhhhh so different from when I first found it.
There's so many diffrent modules and playstyles and while it does have a few small bugs, I haven't noticed anything game breaking or really frustrating

This was amazing! It wasn't fully what I expected when I first saw the pictures on the store page, but it was such an amazing experience.
It took me 3 hours to complete and I did it in one sitting (except breaks to grab snacks and water); I literally couldn't stop playing. It has such a great atmosphere and interesting platforming and puzzles. Elements are frequently added so it keeps things interesting.
After finishing the game, I felt a Melancholy that it was over, but I just discovered a sequel which is on sale for $15 and I'm instantly buying it. This game was THAT good!
