I expected the turn-based strategy elements to be more fleshed out. Thumbs down if you came for the TBS. Look elsewhere. Other people may enjoy it.

A truly fantastic puzzle game with many original elements. There's less of a learning curve for a set of puzzles than The Witness, and the challenges are less sadistically cerebral than Stephen's Sausage Roll, yet still providing a reasonable challenge, making Baba is You easy to pick up, play a few puzzles, and put down (if you can tear yourself away from the game).

(I did beta testing for the game prior to release which doesn't show on my time played)

Hypnospace Outlaw is a very refreshing puzzle / adventure with a strong narrative to discover, and a interesting Internet world to explore. The game mostly consists of fake webpages in a fake web browser, complete with applications to download, music to listen to, and lamers to laugh at. You play moderator for this Internet, and therein the gameplay progresses.

The game does an extremely good job evoking late 90's Internet, providing both nostalgia and a sort of commentary on this era of Internet as well.

Gameplay is same old DOA. By now you know if you like that or not. DOA6 doesn't do much to entice new players. The new tutorial system is nice and well implemented, at least.

The characters really look a lot better in DOA6, with more somewhat more unique visual characteristics per character now. The background graphics, however, are pretty dismal. DOA3's backgrounds looked much better.

Not my strongest thumbs up, but I have had a lot of fun with DOA6.

It's the best fantasy pinball title (like Demon's Crush, Kirby's Pinball Land, Battle Pinball, etc etc) in a very long time. Decades? Beautiful visuals and very appropriate music. Very fun to play, providing a challenge while being fair. If you like fantasy pinball, you will love Demon's Tilt.

Best sim of any kind in ages. Strikes a great balance between challenge and features. While the game isn't very difficult to 3-Star, it's far less exploitable from something like Cities Skylines. There's enough depth to it to think about a bit, but there isn't completely overwhelming micromanagement (just some).

Great comfy feels, music, visuals, and style.

Innovative and fun city management game. The gameplay is extremely well balanced for this sort of game. It's a bit like true survival horror. There's a fair amount of micromanagement, which you'll want to delve into. But I never felt overwhelmed, and I don't play a ton of management sims. It provides a good challenge.

The world building is so rich with this one. The theme is very dark and interesting. The visuals are fantastic and appealing. I'll be thinking of Frostpunk a long time after I'm done playing it.

After about a dozen hours of the free demo, it's finally out.

Compound is a fun action shooter. The art evokes the style of Contra, it's like I've been dropped into one of the even numbered Contra levels, only this time it's fun. The weapons are fun to shoot, and have nice reloading mechanics. Also, literally the best cover mechanics of any game, ever.

Why does Compound have the best cover mechanics? First you have the basics of any decent VR game: You can hide any way you want, and you can aim around corners any way you want. The Compound difference comes from a few things: Bullets are dodgeable (not hitscan - they're more like imp fireballs or Contra bullets). Second, the levels are tight (as opposed to open) you can get close to walls because there isn't a lot of prefab objects (try doing this in Serious Sam VR, for instance, and you'll likely not find a good corner to hide behind).

A revolution in avatar-based chat. Everything is extremely well implemented. Users have been given the freedom to fully realize any possibility. It can be a lot of fun just to explore the various worlds and games people have created!

It's Counter Strike in VR, opening up worlds of gameplay never before possible. Highly recommended.
