Basically we are a few days from what appears to be the official release, so I feel like this is as good a time as any to give info to those who are on the fence.

PROS:
-Easy, useful controls (all of which can be changed).
-Offers both single and multiplayer (up to 8 online) and each mode provide unique experiences and challenges.
-The game gives you plenty of creative freedom, allowing you to craft custom buildings and forge unique items to use for survival.
-Sandbox enviornment creates infinite replay value, and no two games will be the same.
-Large open world exploration should keep you from getting bored any time soon.
-With a good PC, upi will experience surprisingly pretty, inviting graphics that will leave you feeling emersed.

CONS:
-Some of the map has issues, like for example, friends and I explored a cave, and upon exit, fell to our deaths trying to climb onto what we thought was solid ground.
-You will need a semi-decent machine to truly appreciate this game. I used to play on an average laptop and it struggles even on the lowest settings.
-Getting a functional base up and running sometimes can be difficult with just one person.
-The tutorial is minimal at best, teaching you what you're supposed to do, but not HOW you're supposed to. Once learned, however, it is easy to play.
-Changing the audio settings is difficult due to the basic audio slider setup.

RATING: 8/10

For an early access game, I am incredibly pleased. The designers make regular changes to the game based on feedback received. You will never get bored playing this game unless deforesting and doing manual labor isn't your thing. It's easy to lose hours on this game by accident. Just watch out for the usual bugs and glitches and your experience will be plesant.
