Revised Review: The stability issues seemed to have been solved for me in the latest patch. Game is very fun. Very similar to Banished. Hopefully this game gets mod support as once you reach the end game there isn't much to do.

The game's a bit too heavy on the RNG. You can make the best decisions you can but it won't help you when you get an encounter that your team is weak against and then watch your units make absolutely stupid decisions during the fight.

Big Pharma is a fantastic game, combining many of my favorite puzzling and sim mechanics. The challenges are fair. The tutorials and the beginner levels comfortably raises your knowledge of the game to be able to appropriately tackle more challenging levels. The gameplay itself is very satisfying for me. Most of the fun I have from this is the tetris style packing of the assembly line for your products. Every small optimization found is a substantial reward to the player, and as it gets more and more difficult to make your line more efficient, finding the smallest and sometimes very insignificant improvement offers a great feeling of satisfaction from your puzzle solving prowess.

The game is well worth $24.99. I have 30 hours on completing just the first tier of challenges, I am sure tackling the more advanced stages, and eventually getting and completing the DLC, will put the price per hour of gameplay to a very low number.

I bought this game because the gameplay looked cool. I'm sure I would have liked to play this game to if I got the chance. However uPlay decided that I was unworthy of playing the game I purchased legally here on Steam. Even contacting Ubisoft support I wasn't able to play. Upon revisiting this a year later I have discovered my uPlay account no longer believes I ever bought the game in the first place and therefore I don't even have another chance at installing and tackling uPlay again.
