This game is amazing. It's easy enough to pick up but seems to offer lots of room for mastery in basic play as well as for each striker.
The biggest criticism i can give the game is that visual clarity can sometimes be lacking.
Healthbars obscuring the core as well as the cooldowns being at the bottom of the screen.
Ranked and normal games are a little long with too much downtime due to the item picking phases in between sets.
I understand that they wanted to make each game more unique by removing items sets and making them pickable during the game but i don't think this should be the final iteration.
The character design also leans heavily into common anime tropes, might cause some eye rolling.
Overall the game is very fun and addicting, it also embraces meme/twitch culture via emotes which is a nice touch.

Game is free, give it a try.

Like:

* Very unique extraction shooter in a western setting.
* Gorgeous level and sound design.
* Fun gunplay due to the more antique weapon designs.
* Stealth is a big factor in this game if you want it to be, which makes every moment alot more tense.
* Pretty steep learning curve due to off center crosshair and the unique gunplay.
* Super high skill ceiling leaves a lot of room for mastery.
* Cosmetics in the game look extremely good and all of them fit nicely into the theme of the game which adds to the immersion.
* Frequent events that reward said good looking cosmetics.

Dislike:

* Multi bounty contracts because it spreads out the players.
* The time it takes to get into a pvp fight feels a little too long.
* Playercount per match should be slightly higher.
* Events so far have all been a bit samey (some objects on the map that can be interacted with and give points)


Overall:
Super recommend this game to anyone looking for a unique take on the extraction shooter.
The fact that the playerbase has been growing slowly but steadily over the past 5 years is a good indicator that this game has far from hit its peak and is slowly getting the attention it deserves.

I think the game is overpriced at 20€ for what you currently get.
The game gets pretty stale pretty fast because of the limited amount of minigames.
Regular content updates are gonna be a must to keep this game entertaining.
I think it's overkill that unlocked colors do not also apply to the costumes.
I wish there was something you could do in the game after you get disqualified.
If a friend gets disqualified early they basically have to go afk.

The game has potential if regular (at max biweekly) content updates happen.

Cannot play the game.
"Server issues are to be expected"... just no, can we not keep lowering the bar?

This is hands down the best, most polished and fun single player VR game.
Valve is back baby!

Game looks very nice but a lot of gameplay elements just seem badly executed.
I bought it on release and it can't capture my excitement for the same reasons i dropped it back then.
I don't think the game will survive after the free weekend ends.

Most played VR game.
Has a lot of replayability due to mods.

Game with probably the best asymetric pvp concept.
Sadly its being held back by the inexperience of the developers which leads to frequent bugs and outdated graphics.
The gameplay is fun if you can overlook those two things.

I almost wish for a sequel of this game, fresh code base, better quality control and better game art.

There is no reason not to play this game right now.

I recently came back to the game and i have to say it is in the best state it's ever been.
Many of the old negative reviews are outdated as the devs have addressed many of the complaints like balance and connectivity issues.
I am looking forward to the major content update coming in october and i think you should consider this game if the gameplay has you intruiged.

The social aspect of this game is absolutely amazing. So far the paintball in this game is the most fun i had, the teleporting in this game is absolutely done right. And the best thing it's free. Definitly one of the best games i played in vr.
