Despite the Incredibly erratic decision making of the dev team on the updates and promotion orders to be done, they have still built a very solid game.

is it buggy at times.... yes usually for the few days post patch/update
do these bugs detract from the gameplay experience..., not usually.

The game is a solid solo experience but as a game to play with friends its an absolutely brilliant game

An amazing job has been done making the game a fun experience, the enemies are varied, challenging missions are actually challenging and the weapon and strategem variety is catered both try hard and meme builds alike

I will actively call out that its super ♥♥♥♥♥♥ of Arrowhead to refuse to sell this game in countires where PSN accounts arent available to people and make it a requirement for the game AFTER a viral launch. But given that Sony probably have some painfully stupid IT security requirements to satisfy their insurer. I cant solely blame arrowhead for this.

I will also say, it does seem that at higher difficulties, more challenge emphasis is based on increasingly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ enemy spawns and or "calls for help" by enemies whoes sole function exists to call in the next hoard to make a challenge. Which I get, but am not particularly happy with. I have found my self saying "what the ♥♥♥♥ was that game" m,any a time after a mini mob patrol spawns in right in front of us, dies, but not before calling for help and telling every new spawning enemy in the vicinity that we killed their nan because her knitting was sub par.

as a final negative... speaking directly to arrowhead.. why on earth do you feel the need to put a cap on medals and samples.... Why induce an artificial grind in your game on the off chance people accumulate "too many samples and medals" The DSS and the warbonds exist to spend them on. so make use of the functionality you yourself implemented and make them work for players. Rather than limiting the stockpile. Heck even if you're hard sold on the limit existing, why not have upgrades to these limits unlock through level or rank progression? that seems like a good way to reward players who hit level milestones or new level caps while still making it fun.

To finish this review up I do think this is a good game. Despite all of the above feedback that may make you think to the contrary. This game is great fun in groups and was well worth the price, both full price and on sale. I have a good bit of fun jumping in to farm super credits and get each of the warbonds free rather than opening my wallet. it is doable through natural progression. but the samples and super credits do take time to accumulate.

if you have a group of friends you regularly game with or are an old vet of planetside or some other first and 3rd person shooters looking for a fun change of pace, I'd recommend joining the helldivers. Its a solid bit of fun for your money.
