Arisen Force: HeroTest has a lot of issues that make it hard to enjoy. Right from the start, the game is plagued with visual glitches and clunky controls, which really kill any sense of immersion. The biggest problem, though, is the combat. For some reason, I could one-shot every enemy, including bosses, which made the game way too easy and honestly pretty boring. There's no challenge, so the fights just feel pointless.

The map design is also a letdown. It’s bland and repetitive, so all you do is run around aimlessly collecting items to continue and that's it. The hero introduction missions seemed like they’d be cool, but they quickly turned into a boring mess, and half the time, I couldn’t even figure out what was going on because nothing about the characters get's explained. Because of this none of the character related jokes landet with me.

One weird thing I noticed is that only the female characters have attack voices, which feels like a strange choice. It makes the game feel unfinished in a way. And while I’m not against jiggle physics, if that's one of the few highlights of the game, it says a lot about what the developers prioritized. It’s like they put more effort into that than actually making the game fun to play.

The visuals are okay, but the way the pixel art characters move looks strange. The morphing between animations is awkward and kind of ugly, which just adds to the list of things that don’t work.

Overall, Arisen Force: HeroTest feels like a rushed, unbalanced game with very little going for it. It could have been fun, but between the easy combat, boring map, and strange design choices, it’s hard to stay interested for long.

As a kickstarter backer i'm very disappointed with this game.

Dear Backer,
Thank you for your feedback and for supporting.
Over the past month, we’ve made significant updates and fixes to the game.
The issue with one-hit kills was resolved last month, and we sincerely apologize for the negative experience caused by this bug.
It deprived you of the strategic combat experience we intended to highlight and impacted the core enjoyment of our game.
We also regret the inconvenience caused by the earlier version of the game.
As this is our first project, we took a cautious approach to level design, resulting in simpler designs.
However, these experiences have provided our team with valuable lessons and growth.
The combat experience becomes more engaging as you unlock three teammates and explore various skill and weapon combinations.
Additionally, we are excited to announce that a free DLC update will be released soon, offering more content for you to enjoy.

The lessons we've learned from this project will guide us in making significant improvements in our future titles.

Thank you for playing, and understanding.
We hope you’ll find the upcoming updates and future projects even more enjoyable!

Sincerely,
