One of the best horrors out there, great atmosphere and story.

Sadly, it's not as popular as it deserve to be and I still have no idea why, cause this game is simply amazing

Do you guys remember good ol' Man Stick Fight that was like 10 years ago?

Well, this is similar stuff, but 10 times more exciting. Can't stop laughing watching every fight, it's very funny and undpredictable and even bugs feel like a part of this crazy and unique gameplay. This game is already brilliant, just need more content and more people to play with :)

Verdict: I feel that I need more destructible maps

(notice, that it's a multiplayer review, I haven't try signle and don't think I would try it)

At the moment this game is very repetetive and lacks tons of content in middle and late-game, lacks working AI, have some very very simple trading and it doesn't even have any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ diplomacy -- what is represented in game seems like a joke, not diplomacy.

You literally can only win in this game if you choose the war path and expand in all the ways possible or stick with alliance/federation and kill that guy who's expanding, no tech win, no diplomatical win, no peaceful win is possible in this game, even though I'm not the fan of peaceful strategies, but the only threat in this game is a big fleet, which doesn't suck, but it's not enough for a 4x game for my taste.

Farmer simulator would do great against stellaris. You're just farming resources, getting new farms, getting your army and taking over other farms over and over and over and over.

Stellaris was fun at first, but when you learn almost all the mechanics it becomes crazy boring and every game is almost the same as the others, some things might change over the time: your location, res around you and planets you can take and... That's it. You can play good with any configuration of your Empire as far as you can get an army. Some traits might give you abilities to win faster, others doesn't and from my experience those Empires that uses slaves and got faster research have a great advantage of taking over the galaxies much easier than any other. But again, all you need to win is a fleet and army and sometimes a few good neigbours.

I don't recommend this game at current state. With proper improvements this game would be a really good 4x real-time-strategy, right now it feels incomplete, cold and repetetive.

edit: Other thing that I forgot to mention, is that in this game you will always feel exposed to everyone. If your neigbours doesn't surround you from all the sides, then there are your enemies, those who can get to you from any part of the galaxy and there is no way to defend. Stations doesn't do much, your fleet can't be separated most of the time or it's going to be easier to crush. Those notifications of many jumping little fleets in your territory are just very annoying and there is no way to prevent enemy to come from the side you would like to or defend the side from where you aspect them to come. No walls, no traps, no way to slow down the enemy -- totally nothing. Your only hope, again, is a giant fleet that should jump on enemy when he is busy taking over your star and with this non-informative and bulky interface it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ difficult and annoying as hell.

Even though I used to play this game about 7 years ago it's still fun to do it again.

Would like to see more official content, mods are fun, but it gets messy pretty quick and game becomes reaaaaly unbalanced.

Anyway the game is still cool and didn't loose any of it's charm and I like to see some progress. It would be great to see this game beign "finished" at some point.

"WHAT A DAY, WHAT A LOVELY DAY!"

That's what I shout when started DOOM's campaign and it was absolutely amazing, 13 hours of bloody gore and brutality and yet it wasn't enough. Not sure if I will play MP but I will definetely wait for story to continue in the same way and I would definetely try the hardest level other day.

Totally recommend this, it's one of the best FPS campaigns that I've played so far.

Edit: backed it early in development, but it is dead by now.


Not much to see at the current state, but basic pvp mechanics are close to what we saw in games like Gears of War.
This game definetely has a potential to grow and developers have to improve every aspect of this game to make it really good.
I hope they will achieve their goal and give players more content and deeper gameplay mechanics
