Very good game overall. If you want an anime-style game with actually good gameplay, and a serviceable story and fun characters this is for you. I hope we get a sequel.

I played this game in Early Access throughout the years for about 30 hours as of right now. I was an original backer.

Is it as flashy and polished as XCOM Reboots? No
Is it as crunchy and vast as X-COM original? No
Is it a Massive Improvement over Xenonauts 1? No

However, Is it a good middle-ground between the accessibility of XCOM and the depth/complexity of X-COM? Yes, the game might not be as big as the original cult classic, but if you are looking for a game similar to it with modern ui and graphics(not great but modern enough), this is for you. Not every game needs to be a revolution.

Is it a major improvement over Xenonauts 1? Hell yes. Lots of quality of life, balance, features that result in what is essentially a greatly improved Xenonauts 1. It does NOT reinvent the wheel, so if you did not like Xenonauts 1 at all, you will probably not be a huge fan of 2. Still, worth trying as a lot of my issues with 1 are fixed in 2, and I have a lot more fun in 2 even in it's unfinished state.

I understand people's frustrations with the long dev time, currently unfinished(yet mostly polished) state, and apparent lack of "Wow" features. However, I think this game is very much worth existing and can be very fun, and with the apparent death of Firaxis' XCOM in the future, if you want a new Alien tactics game well there really isn't much more than this, and it works well in that regard.

If you wanted XCOM EW or original X-Com, you aren't getting it, but you are getting a mostly fresh experience that isn't broken on launch. Those other games will always exist, and I for one applaud Xenonauts 2 for continuing in that spirit in 2023.

Great game. Might not be for everyone but I think if it looks at all interesting to you, you should play it.

Amazing game, the gameplay is superb and the atmosphere is great. The only thing I can see some people disliking about it is that the ending and much of the story is up to interpretation, so you kind of have to think about it more than most games, but even if you didn't like the ending the journey alone is worth the price of admission.

Good WW1 shooter, very fun. I think it has some issues but overall worth the money.

Overall a good sequel to Destroy All Humans Remake 1. Lives up to the hype and quality standards. I feel it is missing a few things:

-Dislocator sucks compared to original, I never used it.

-Hardest difficulty is no fun because it takes 10 years for your shields to begin regenerating, doesn't make it a fun challenge just takes more time. Also no achievement for beating on hardest so literally no point, just play it on normal don't make the same mistake I did.

-A few things were cut, while other things were left in. If you are going to allow the whole japanese level to exist, don't bother cutting other things. The whole series is supposed to be about crass and offensive humor, and a lot of it isn't funny but it's part of the charm.

-Weapon balance is kinda ♥♥♥♥, Ion Detonator, Sonic Boom, Quantum Deconstructor seriously need buffs because it's almost always better to just use your more basic weapons. Fully upgraded these things should absolutely wreck everything, DAH isn't supposed to be a subdued experience.

Apart from these things, it's very much worth playing.

Runs well, buggy af, but it's fun.

Greatest Modern Warfare Strategy Simulation. If want to simulate modern or cold war battles at the strategic level using ships, subs, planes etc this is the game for you. Patience and ability to learn required.

Things it has:
-SWAT 4-like gameplay, better in many aspects
-6 levels, 2 test levels
-great animations
-great graphics
-good soundtrack
-coop
-singleplayer
Things it's lacking:
-missions planning
-NEEDS more levels
-more weapons
-more game modes and randomization on the levels that are there
-needs more polish in some areas, such as ai pathing

Overall I recommend it for current price if you are itching for a SWAT 4 like game in the modern gaming era, especially if you have friends to play with and don't mind replaying levels. If not, wait for more content although the price will go up later.
