The better Risk of Rain 2

WARNINGS!:

This is "technically" a horror game so body horror, depressing themes, and mental illness, are to be expected. If you CANNOT handle that, give this game a pass. ♥

This is also a SEQUEL to "Lobotomy Corporation" so please play that game to it's fullest first.
It's also a 10/10 game from me, so it's worth, I promise! :D

After playing the most recent update (4/9/2021) I can honestly say that this game has truly been something fantastic. I can say my many praises of the game and still not feel like it's enough, that's how special this game has been for me. Really making me think outside the box and the boss battles being more of a puzzle and less of a test of strength is always positive.

The story has always been gripping and wonderful to be a part of, I never felt like any part was dragged on or rushed. The entire plot felt perfectly paced and enjoyable, even with it's really grim premise. That premise in of itself is something at least check out.

All the characters are extraordinary every single one of them feels like a real person, with real goals and drive, w/ complexity that a real person would have. Really making me feel for them and even forgive a few for the past atrocities they committed.

The art is another shining star in this game, having a really dark pallet while still making all the designs really pop. The backgrounds should be purchasable prints on their own, they're that nice to look at. (please let us buy merch overseas I am begging on my knees.) It even gives the grim feeling that the premise is going for, which is always hard to pull off, even in AAA games.

The music is heaven for the ears. The mix of orchestral and jazz with horror even on some boss battles really give this game a really unique pallet in terms of tunes. Mili does a fantastic job to give this game it's delectable music pallet. (All Mili tracks can be found on the Project Moon YT channel I would totally give them a listen)

The only things I would say that's really worth bringing this game down is the tutorial is a little lack luster in actually teaching you the basics. While also making the information given too much for a new player all at once. Also there isn't much in terms of side content right now (it's going to be changed soon-ish and I will update the review when that comes around)

Finally, I would say that this game is worth all the good press it's getting and is a must buy!
Down from the stellar art being aesthetically pleasing to me and others eyes. The amazing characters that are human and really memorable. The music that will never leave my head or my playlists. Finally the story to really tie it all together, making this a really magical experience that shall stick with me for years to come.

This is one of the best games I have ever had the pleasure of playing.

I don't say something like that lightly. This game has been my go to for the past two weeks or so. (At the time of writing on July 25th, 2019) Even so much as to replace League of Legends in terms of instant gratification. The story is super interesting, the abnormalities are all unique and fun to learn about, and the cute art style finally mixes it all together to make something super special. It is definitely worth the price tag.

I give this game my highest of praises, I hope you do too. ♡♡♡
