I own this game both here and on Switch and the vast majority of my playtime is on the Switch. I have probably 3x the playtime if I include the console version which is also fantastic.

Why do I love this game so much?
- Because Duskdude jumping off meat hooks and killing his captors is badass
- Dual wielding shotguns with the fast fire totem
- Climbing the spiral staircase in Unseen feels SO good
- The Erebus Reactor and associated sound of Andrew Hulshult destroying his guitar are my favorite levels and soundtrack in any video game ever

There’s a million other things this game does right, and I can’t think of anything I wish it did differently. It just FEELS good to play.

Only thing for the Switch version (Oshry, if you see this) is that the last few enemies on E2M1 are still borked and it’d be nice to have a walk button to be able to not always auto climb.

PC version - 10/10
Switch version - 9/10

Early Access Review
It's little more than a demo right now, but still worth every penny I spent on it. If they find a way to work vehicles in there (in true GTA fashion), I'd be the happiest gamer alive.

Straight from the depths of Rennaissance-era Italy, Ubisoft brings us the second, and by far best to date, entry to the Assassin's Creed franchise. This is a game about options, usually. Most of the game allows the player to roam freely and choose to complete the game in either a stealthy manner or an openly violent and crazy manner. The mechanics are good through most of the game, though there are moments where the game tends to cause issues like having trouble seeing or reaching objectives. Ironically, most of these problems arise during a sequence in which you play as Altair from AC1.

Overall, though, the game works. I give it 4/5 Florins for being mostly functional and fun, despite a few gameplay issues.

Here's a thought of the day for you: Can a video game be simultaneously wildly entertaining and disturbing on an estistential level? Galactic Cafe said "yes", and presented us with The Stanley Parable, a game about finding the end. It's also a game about not finding the end. It really is impossible to discuss much about this game without spoiling it, but I will say this: you'll never see broom closets the same way again.

I give this game 5/5 good endings for fantastic storytelling, and overall excellent functionality.

All good things lead to the city. The defunct city of Rapture, specifically, led by Andrew Ryan. A spiritual successor to the System Shock series, Bioshock places you in an underwater dystopia filled with splicers and danger. The main focus of this game is on the ideals that both made Rapture great and heavily contributed to its downfall at the same time. If you take nothing else away from this game, always remember:
"What separates a man from a slave? Money? Power? No... A man chooses. A slave obeys."

This game gets 5/5 game-breaking plasmids. I mean, it's Bioshock. You should really already already own this game. Now, would you kindly play the game?

Did you want to sleep tonight? Oh good, neither did I. Amnesia: The Dark Descent WAS just a small inide game. Now it's an indie game that is very very famous. The Dark Descent is an atmospheric horror game that does it's job perfectly. You'll be looking around the corners of every poorly-lit hallway to make sure there's no grunts around the corner that are macking for a slice of protagonist pie. The puzzles are slightly annoying, but then, I'm no good at puzzles, so that's no way to judge. At least the puzzles make sense and give you some feeling of satisfaction as they allow you to move forward and also summon every monster in a twelve block radius.

I give this game 5/5 temporary mental disorders for having good mechanics and being truly, legitimately frightening.

Ace of Spades is the baby of a drunken night of lovemaking between Team Fortress 2 and Minecraft. However, as is unusual in post-drunken-night situations, both parties are left with no regret. Ace of Spades is a class-based first-person shooter in the visual style of Minecraft with more realistic physics, or as real as you can get with block graphics. The game is balanced, runs smoothly, and offers plenty of silly moments that tend to revolve around decimating your enemies with a mining drill.

I give this game 4/5 randomly-placed sniper boxes for having good design, running well on my mid-level laptop, and just being generally fun. It loses a point because, like the ill-fated Special Forces: Team X, the player base just isn't what it could (see: should) be.
