It's alright. But controls are keyboard only (no mouse control)

Edit: A frustrating issue is that when you finish shaking the cauldron, the lid is immediately removed and then the cauldron is moved to the neutral position, which can cause the fruits therein to be launched past the game-over threshold.
But besides that it works fine and I can recommend it :)

It's a lot like Ravenfield.
What I particularly like is the diversity of units and the inventory system
The weak part of Easy Red 2 is the audio. The voice sound effects are alright and non-anglophone units speak in their native language. But the gun sounds are not very impressive and the audio saturation is perhaps not as high as you would expect from a battlefield

It's like the powder game but you control the little stickman warrior and you can craft custom spells

Brilliant tactical game. Should have bought it sooner.
The narration and visual elements are explicit in their bleakness and gruesomeness without any euphemisation.

The setting is a low-fantasy, early/middle medieval Europe. Plus the southern city states which are mainly inspired by, I think, the Ottoman turks :)

I see people complaining in the reviews about the limited memory causing save corruption, but I found it to only happen in very long game sessions (vanilla). And the corruption can be prevented by just alt-f4 and restarting and loading autosave

It's good :)
Edit: I would in fact say it's a game of the year

I think it's well worth the 5€. EU4 unit sprite packs were more expensive with a similar amount of content and people were happy to buy them even though they wouldn't see the units oftentimes. And that's not even accounting for the recent inflation

It's pretty cool. It's similar to AoW3 but with much improved city-building, but simplified combat (which I don't like). You won't find the various AoW3 passive unit bonuses in AoW4, such as Fortified, Martial Arts, Projectile Resistance, Tireless. Only a few are retained.
There are some areas that feel kinda inconsequential unless you're min-maxing, such as the selection of tile improvements. I think those are likely going to be expanded in the future?

Just like AoW3, however, it kinda suffers with a lack of unit variety.
The diplomacy system is expanded. The lizardmen have returned just like I had wished (DLC).
So yeah it's good I guess. Modded AoW3 does some things better, mainly combat. 8/10

Edit: The map generator is changed. You can no longer alter the terrain types with sliders, now you can only pick from pre-set modifiers, which is quite limiting

Edit2: The only things that decide your units are tomes (available to every hero) and Culture (basically like hero Class from AoW3). That's it. Race is only cosmetic, so there is little variety
