This game has fantastic gameplay in my opinion, the mix of scavenging, deciding which materials and items you need the most, choosing to do main missions, explore, or overall planning out your day to be efficient and not waste time before the bell stirs the herd. The story is pretty intriguing, but the ending is absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. it's total cop out, and makes a lot of your work and time invested worthless in my opinion. If you're looking for a story like Half Life: Alyx or Boneworks, you wont find that here. But if you want a walking dead themed survival horror game with solid melee and decent (a little rough around the edges but satisfying enough to be fun) gunplay, pick it up. overall, id say to get it on sale if you can, and i'd rate it a solid 7/10.

This game is pretty great with friends, would recommend. puzzles are fun, and get a little challenging on the aztek map.

Oh god, what's not to love. The Forest has been my main game i've been playing for awhile now, and i started playing it on update v0.2. Wow.... has it evolved. The story, although being immersive and well done visually, Has no real meat and the player doesn't exactly have a motive to save his son. Reguardless, The graphics are beautiful, The sounds are, nothing short of fantastic, and overall this game is worth every penny.

Really fun with friends
its a good game, not half bad engine, and i still hate fleshpounds.

Beautiful enviroment, amazing gameplay mechanics, but repetitive grinding for new missions, aka liberating provinces.
It's still tons of fun, even if there's no multiplayer mod.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. what isnt there to do in this game. I mean of course it's filled with 12 year olds with toaster mics, but with a couple friends, whats not to love?

Just buy it.

Hey, this game is pretty fun. But sadly, it came with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥-game-abandoning dev, so it could never reach its full potential. I just hope they don't make another game and abandon it like they did this. so much potential......




But hey it's 5$ bucks.
