For being only about a month old as of writing this, Shatterline is an insanely polished game. Performance is solid, though i do have a somewhat beefy system. (3900x/3070ti), however not many games actually reach the 143fps cap ive set. Shatterline does.
From a gameplay perspective id say its nothing special, BUT thats what i like about it.
Abilities feel unique and add to the overall experience, be that Co-Op PVE or PVP. If youve played Black Ops 3, thats what it kinda feels like for me.
The Guns feel very good and are surprisingly balanced for a game in its early days.
There also doesnt seem to be any skill based matchmaking, thank god! You can go from clapping cheeks to getting wrecked, and have a good amount of very close games in between!
Plus ive not encountered a single cheater in my 20h of playing this game, despite the many negative reviews complaining about it lol
If it looks interesting to you, just give it a shot. Its free afterall...

At this point it feels like VR GMod, lots of game worlds, massive walking simulators and minigames.
Party, play, chill, drink, dance, workout, socialize.... All of that without leaving the house, what else could you want?

Im reviewing this game with very little playtime and a bigger focus on the gameplay, rather than performance.

This game feels kind of different from other games ive played, its aesthetic reminds me of a mix between Bioshock, Dishonored and Outer Worlds. The Colour palette is nice to look at, and compliments the style the game is going for. (imo)
Its gunplay feels pretty nice, and the sound effects are satisfying, my only gripe so far was that the weapon switching (you can dual wield the same/different, one-handed weapons) was a bit clunky. Though i suppose one would get used to that after some time.
Using the plot point of time-looping and removing any and all quicksave functionality is a VERY cool idea in my Opinion! Should you die before leaving a sector after completing a mission that had you get information on something, you can just instantly leave after "respawning" because you now already know what you came there for. Dying will revert your inventory back to what it was when you startet the session though! In a session you get 2 lives to revive when you die but after that, its back to the start.

A very intriguing first hour into the game, makes me want to play it more, but the performance just isnt good enough. In my case, this isnt even the games fault (definetly not entirely anyway) Ive got a 1070 with an i7 7700k and 32GB of RAM, playing on 1440p. Im averaging around 50fps on medium low settings, so for me the game isnt far off any other modern game with comparable graphics. Ill refund for now and buy it later to fully enjoy it on an upgraded machine.

Verdict: Buy it and try it if youve got a modern gpu/cpu, ive enjoyed the 70 minutes i played it, even on the lousy 50fps.
If it runs like crap, refund it. Plain and simple.

Super fun with friends, if you have doubts, wait for a sale and buy the ultimate edition.
Update: Still going strong, great game.
Update: Another year later, still fantastic. Thousands of active players and still getting content.
Another Update: Yet another year and 1000h later, STILL getting updated and still 25k average daily players. Just buy it.

Saw it online > bought it > played it > loved it.

Try it fir yourself, and DO NOT listen to people complaining about perfectly reasonable and well balanced microtransactions.

This isnt EA. Everything you can buy is cosmetical yet all future updates and DLC will be free. Sounds like a good deal to me...

The game itself feels very polished already. Good performance (heard complains, cant confirm), vibrant colors and awesome visuals, a morr challenging crafting and build system. This isnt Minecraft everybody. Crafting and proper building takes time. So far ive played about 8 hours straight and didnt finish the first storie of my house. The only reason i stopped was not because i got bored but because it was 1am in the Morning and I had to go to work 5 hours later.

I urge you again: Try it for youreself. Its such a shame that this game and its Devs are being trashtalked for microtransactions like theyre EA or something. Stop it seriously!

A CoD that is actually playable. Havent had that since Black Ops 2. 11 Hours into the multiplayer i can tell you that this game, at least gameplaywise, doesnt deserve the bad ratings it gets. Some weapons have to, and im confident that they will be, rebalanced (like in every CoD ever...) but overall this game is enjoyable.

Im running a GTX1070, i7 7700K (non OC)and have 8gb of 2600mhz RAM. It runs like a dream. No stuttering, no fps drops, just the occasional stillframe. (Happens to me in other games too sometimes so i wouldnt blame this one on CoD)

I dont really give a crap about authenticity (playing like a squad of clone trooper n***ers in MP is actually pretty hilarious), fact is I havent had his much fun in a CoD for years and I even look forward to playing it while im at work. This also hasnt been the case for a CoD in years...

Long story short: buy it, try it, dont like it? refund it. Easy.
Dont let all this (now apparantly mainstream) hate for CoD scare you of.

PS: One BIG ASS Con will be weapons in suply drops that will be released eventually. (unless they balance them properly... yeah right as if they would do that lol)

In all honestly, I cant understand all the crap this game is getting. In comparison to previous Titles this game is a major improvement imo. Ive only had time to play about an hour so far but I will say that i had fun.
Actual Fun whilst playing a CoD game!

Performance is amazing for me. Specs: i7 7700k, GTX1070, 8gb RAM 2600mHz.
My PC runs without much load on ~140fps, no stutters, no glitches, no missing textures, etc...
Everything set to Max. Good luck with that on Bo3...

Gunplay is enjoyable I just dont know what game to compare it to. Weapons dont feel like theyre underpowered and i didnt feel like ive lost gunfights just because my enemy had a "better" weapon.
I look forward to playing a couple more hours tomorrow and for the first time in years I really look forward to the release of a CoD game!

All in all: Try it out, its free after all. See for yourself and dont let some retarded reviews that just spew crap about irrelevant things keep you from forming your own opinion. ;)

I might not have a lot of playtime as of writing this but im really enjoying the game so far. It looks beatiful and exploring is a lot of fun. My GTX 660 runs the game fine, a couple of stutters every now and then but i have yet to experience severe framedrops or visual glitches etc...
There are hardly any video options yet: You can adjust the draw distance of the foliage, resolution, fullscreen yes/no and vsync. The rendering of objects still needs work since thin ground on cliffs for example isnt loaded when further away while the plants on top of it are making it look like theyre stuck in mid air.
But then again its early access for a reason. The gameplay is pretty solid already though. Its up to you wether you want to spend 20$ on this yet. Id recommend you buy it and at least give it a shot since it really deserves it.
I also heard of a free demo in the windows store or something so uhh... If there is one go get that first. :P
